I have no desire to upload it again for two reasons:

1-I forgot to ask Qdin for permission to release it publicly
2-Apparently the Sith Trooper was "broken" even though I've munged it 5 times since from scratch with no problems.

And any source files that are out there are free for use, just add the credits from the first page of the 1.8.1 release thread. That's why I released them, so anyone could do whatever they wanted :D

I know how to make ( or I mean skin ) custom sides. It's just I have absolutely no clue how to use user made character or level source files. Could you help me out, Tean?

p.s. If anyone wants the Vader thing to stop, just tell me, 'kay?

Nope, sorry. I released the source files because I'm getting out of Battlefront modding. I've moved on to much greener pastures. The only modding I have left to do here are bugfixes. But truth be told I haven't touched the pack in well over a month.

Ah, well. Everyone has to leave at one point.

Are you going to release the infantry sides?

So no one wants to help me...

@ ARC_Commander -- yes, all sides will be released as I have time to upload them

@ Luke -- Like I said before, you gotta start out small man. The guys that are adding these sides have been editing SWBF2 for at least a few months and have learned the ropes. Gotta crawl before you can walk.

I've been reading the tut's and all and I still can't make heads or tails out of it! But I do know how to hex-edit so that's a start and I do know the skin map, so....I need help.

- :vader:

EDIT : Also I've been studying these modtools very vigorously ( I probably spelt that wrong. Curse my feeble mind! ) and I still read the tuts and am probably gonna fry my brain when I'm done with it, but I think I've sorta figured out how to change the shells for the troopers! Still need more insight, though...

Well don't worry about custom sides at all right now. I know, it's very tempting, but trust me when I say don't worry about them. Knowing how to do them requires knowing how the munge process works, so it's best to play around with mapping for awhile.

On that note, the link below has THE BEST tutorial for learning ZeroEdit EVAR!! I learned with this tutorial, and Zero was majorly confusing before I tried it. Again, you gotta trust me on this one, but put all your other projects aside, make a new project, then follow his tutorial step-by-step, to the T. Skip the part about lava/water as that is sortof advanced, and different in SWBF2. Trust me, when you're done you'll feel like a pro and all the other stuff like custom sides will be easier to understand.

*It's hard to explain how to do custom sides to you just now because you need to learn more about how the engine works. TRUST ME. If you learn things in the right order it all comes naturally.

Thanks, Tean! You know, no one has probably ever tried to go as far to help me as Gametoast staff! Yeah!

- :vader:

:?: Problem : This tut is for BF1 not BF2 It explains the BfModtools not the BF2modtools...Please if there is aything more to it or I've just jumped the gun or there is another tut out there let me know.

I was wondering. Is the Sith Trooper the only thing broken in the KOTOR sides, because NO OFFENSE TO ANYBODY WHO LOVES SITH TROOPERS but I don't care too much for them anyway. So if I made a map with KOTOR chars but didn't actually load the Sith trooper, would it work?

-OFF TOPIC- Luke, maybe if you loaded it with the 3D Object Converter and took a picture it would encourage people.
