Hi! Here's a public ALPHA for you lot! This means that it is NOT a beta yet, beta testers will get that soon. This is for people who want to play this map. All modes work, Zombie and RPG mode are finished, Conquest not.

I got a credit fix for you:
The cyber maul wasn't made by thunder, he actually slipped it in his release of his stick figures (which he explicitely mentioned in the release topic)
The actual maker is HoodZ, you probably want to fix this.
I haven't downloaded the map yet, my internet connection is a bit jumpy right now.

Okay, just played it for a couple of minutes.

Here is my short review:

Conquest:
Positive:
- Good skins,
- Cool weapons.
Negative:
- Why do the units run super-fast, then fall down, then start sliding?
- I think there need to be more units - there aren't many people on the battlefield
- There are floating weapon icons (check the FAQ for how to fix this)
- It looks like there is no sky (I know there is a starry sky, but you can't tell)

RPG:
Positive:
- Cool Units
Negative:
- Why Multiplayer only?
- Why are the weapons uber-weird? Aalya Secura's lightsabers are about 50 feet long

Zombie:
Positive:
- Cool Skins
- Good Weapons
Negative:
- Not many people on the battlefield

The Map Itself:
It looks a bit....... I don't know, but it just doesn't look natural.
I'm sure it would look a lot better with a new sky.
Also, the map's terrains range from rocky deserts to dreamy heaven-grass. You may want to stick with the same range of terrain.

Anyway, that's my review for this map.
Main Tips:
- Put more units in the battle
- Get a sky
- Work on the terrain
- Make the units slower (and make sure they're not falling down and sliding all the time)

With a little more work, it will be a great map.

Yes I had that wierd bug with the units running faster than usual. As I said this is Alpha and therefore will be fixed, I assure you.
I dunno bout the sky, I like it at nighttime and there aren't many others..
Floating weapons may be fixed, they seem very hard to fix...
More units would cause crashes in MP.
RPG mode was for Multiplayer so people could enjoy uber units plus being able to RPG with other units.
RPG Mode for multiplayer only because A: it would not be good in SP, and B: There is a strange bug which makes no AI spawn so I thought I'd have to stick with it as I have tried everything to fix it.
I am improving the whole map in general, so thanks for that. Foilage will be added to make it look better.

I dunno I just used one unit from BFX so I had to copy all the credits and then I added my own

That's no way to go around crediting people. Nowhere in the readme for the BFX assets does it say you have to credit everybody who contributed to BFX when you only use one asset. You just need to credit whoever made that specific asset and ARC_Commander. When you're crediting people you really need to take the time to work out exactly who you need to credit rather than copying huge sections of credits from asset packs and hoping you get the right people.

Yes, sorry for the long download, it is because I know that most people do not have 7zip or rar so I decided to put it in zip. In the final version it will be availible for zip and 7zip.

Hm, well, I will be honest with you.

Ok, lets start with conquest:
I thought it was ok, but I would highly recommend making it daytime.
And just to get it out there, what's with the shield generators? As I recall, giant generators (let alone sheild generators) was not in WW2. I would also work a lot more on the units, but I know you said it's not done, so I wont go to far on this.

RPG:
Well, the units where ok. Some of there animations where a bit buggy, but who cares. I think that it should not be MP only. And you should make the CPs at different locations.

Zombie:
I actually thought this one was fun. You need more units, and stronger zombies. (What's with the R2D2?) And Jango-fett needs to be a hero. He is just to strong to be a unit.

Overall map:
I'm gonna be frank here... It was not that well planned out. The ground colors in some areas where way off, and the hills could be blended. Add some foliage! It seems bare in some areas, but cramped in others. You could reskin the Tatooene buildings some. And why are those Naboo buildings all one texture? They would go a lot better with the original. And a lot of the props where in the ground. (I don't know if that is intentional, but I'll address it anyway.)
All in all, it needs more work.

the R2D2 was there for a support unit for the zombie hunters.
Thanks for the comments :wink: I will take them on board, and yes this is a alpha so it is not finished and I will fix lots of bugs, reskin some units, and make it more balanced.
