But I guess that one's a little old...
Anyway, I'm loving the wrist mounted minigun. Looks epic.

That suitcase armor is just awesome...
And there's something about a triangle arc reactor?

I was watching this, hoping that they stayed away from the "shamed hero because the bad guy looks like him and ruins his reputation," story line. Then I heard the main bad guy talking about revenge, then building an arc reactor and I was about to prepare the cliche cannon. Then I realized that he was just using it to get even and then build thousands of Iron Clones, and I was much happier.

Seriously, every superhero series has had that plot at least once, and I'm sooooooooo glad they didn't resort to it.

The effects look even better than last time, and I'm sure the plot will be just as good if not better.

Wasn't the original actor for the african-american army general dude replaced?

I think I remember reading the story on Yahoo.

Yeah - it was originally Terence Howard. I'll miss him  .

Not me. James Rhodes/War Machine does not sound like a 10 year old boy. That would have been like casting Tobey Maguire as Spiderm...

Oh wait.

Hey, I liked Maguire as Spiderman! He had that nerdy vibe to him (which Peter Parker would need).

Until he went Emo and started dancing in Spiderman 3.

To stay on topic, I loved Iron Man. Also to see that some nice girl is going to mess up his personal life (I think) and an army of Iron Clones to be beat up.. This will be Stark at his best, can't wait till May :faint:

Although I am sad to see Terrence Howard go, I think Don Cheadle would do better as War Machine.

That's a fair statement. Don Cheadle is more of Rhoades' skin color, and he just looks tougher, so I think he's a better fit.

Personally speaking, this is my summer movie. We usually go see 4-6 big summer flicks, but I already know this one is my favorite. I love the suitcase armor. The first time I saw a pic of it he was already in the suit and I didn't like it, but now seeing that it assembles from a suitcase I love it. I wonder if it will be missing any abilities for the sake of portability. War Machine looks amazing -- just like what you'd think he'd be. The geek inside me almost fainted when I saw the image of Stark in his lab with the four suits behind him. Very awesome throwback to the comics. And the fact that they showed the Black Widow. Oh man. It really can't get any better than that.

The first movie probably would have been the best superhero movie in a while if it hadn't been overshadowed by TDK a couple months later, so I'm gonna see this. Everything looks epic, the action they've shown, the effects, and, of course, the suits. Besides, the car-obsessed part of me says that I have to see this cuz there was an Audi R8 Spyder in the trailer.

I just noticed that if you pause at 1:19 or 1:44 on the second trailer you see the suit has the triangular Uni-Beam. At 0:47 in the first trailer he's wearing a suit with a circular one (it also appears in the background at 1:23 in the first trailer, at 1:17 in the second trailer, at 2:04 in the second trailer and in both trailers during the "Stark Expo"). Both suits are much more of a red color than the Mark III (the armor he used for most of Iron Man 1). Does that mean a Mark IV, Mark V, AND Mark VI (suitcase armor)?

The suitcase armor appears at in the second trailer at 2:11 and at the end.

... and yes, I am a huge geek.

Screencaps + at Gizmodo
It looks like he probably starts the movie where he was last time, has the suitcase armor as a backup, and the preponderance of the mech suits necessitates the building of another suit (the one with the triangular arc reactor window?).

I'm not incredibly familiar with the comics' lore, but that would make sense just based on the seeming position of the clips from the story.

Perhaps this will be the occasion that Tean switches back to his old Iron Man avatar? :music:

Old? Why not a new one?

Anyway, saw the trailer and it looks awesome. Even though I have always been a fan of Batman after seeing this movie that may change my decision.
