Greetings, I just wondered if there is a way to customize our dedicated server to fit our community. I was thinking about renaming the AI Units names (well in fact there aren't any ai units on the server, but there are always some of them displayed in the scoreboards without stats), changing the kill messages and the award titles at the scoreboard.
Do you know if there is a way to arrange that, and if so, give me a clue to the right direction?

Those names and messages are all editable, through "the localization tool". I don't know how you would be able to change these message only through your server, I think you'd also need your players to download the file with these new names. (I'm not a real code-cruncher, so I may be wrong on this last part)

well that's exactly what i do not want to happen. to need every1 download something.
I somehow don't want to believe that the server can't control such things as that would mean, that if there's a ai unit killing a player, every player on the server would see a different name depending on how he named it on his files

there is no way to edit names and not have anyone download something.
