Marth's flyers on Luna strafe the ground. :o Took him days to perfect it (or close enough to perfection). It's also semi-realistic that you couldn't have time to dodge the strafing.

I'm loving Kashyyyk so far, looking forward to the end result. I'm guessing, and hoping, that FragMe!'s AT-AP will make it into this map?

I've never made any ground maps with flyers, so I haven't figured out what would work best to get flyers going after infantry, but I'm expecting that it's mostly a matter of setting up good flyer splines to give the pilots a decent angle to target ground units.

And of course, FragMe's AT-AP will be making an appearance. It's shown up in a lot the Episode III maps so far, but I think this might be the last map that will include it. Then I'll be giving all the other walkers some attention. I love me some walkers. :P

I re-signed up just to post on this thread. It simply looks..Amazing! Great job with your maps and characters!

While I do like the characters, my only input would be try to kinda stay near the stock sides. Otherwise it doesn't look like Starwars.

Rock on!

Sides Update #5: Special Units, Round Two

I meant to post this update weeks ago, but I unfortunately didn't have the time to do so before I left for my trip to Japan. I did manage to get an article up on ModDB before my flight, but for those of you who don't follow me on that site, here it is:

This is the next set of special units available in Battlefront Chronicles. As with the previous update, I'm showing one unit from each faction. These units have a loose theme of all being "tanks" of sorts - that is to say, they all specialize in dealing out high damage while taking a lot of punishment themselves.

--------------------
Clone Gunner
--------------------
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Ability: Health (+50% to health bar)
Primary Weapon: Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon
Backup Weapon: DC-17 Hand Blaster
Secondary Weapon: Sentry Turret (x1)
The Clone Gunner is perfect for laying down suppressive fire. This unit can take a beating while cutting through enemy infantry with the rapid-fire Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon. The Clone Gunner can also deploy automated sentry turrets to provide additional fire support or to guard important areas.

-----------------------------
B2 Super Battle Droid
-----------------------------
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Ability: Health x2 (+100% to health bar)
Primary Weapon: Wrist Blaster
Backup Weapon: Power Shot
Secondary Weapon: Wrist Rockets (x3)
The Super Battle Droid is a powerful upgrade of the standard B1 Battle Droid. Its rapid-fire wrist blaster can cut through enemy infantry and provide suppressive fire. The SBD's wrist blaster can also be switched to a chargeable power shot - the longer the shot is charged, the more powerful it becomes. The SBD can take a substantial amount of damage, but it is slowed by its heavy armor.

-----------------------
Wookiee Warrior
-----------------------
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Ability: Health x2 (+100% to health bar)
Primary Weapon: Bowcaster
Backup Weapon: N/A
Secondary Weapons: Rage (x1), Time Bombs (x3), Melee Attack
The Wookiee Warriors are a powerful force for the Rebel Alliance. They are slowed by their large frames, but the incredible strength of the Wookiees allows them to take a beating while fighting their way through enemy forces. The Wookiees' signature weapon, the bowcaster, can fire single shots or be charged to fire up to seven shots at once. Alternatively, the warriors can get up close and personal with their enemies and pummel them with their fists. Rage acts as a temporary damage buff for the user and any nearby allies.

-----------------
EVO Trooper
-----------------
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Ability: Health (+50% to health bar)
Primary Weapon: FA-3 Flechette Launcher
Backup Weapon: SE-14r Light Repeating Blaster
Secondary Weapon: Incendiary Grenades (x4)
The EVO Trooper specializes in operating in hazardous environments. Its FA-3 Flechette Launcher is a powerful shotgun that is ideal for taking out enemy infantry (or for putting down troublesome natives). The SE-14r light repeating blaster is an automatic pistol that provides a powerful backup weapon. Incendiary grenades, while ineffective against vehicles, can wipe out large numbers of infantry.

Looks brilliant! Yours are really close to my Clone Wars sides in Battlefront 3, however we differ when it comes to the Galactic Civil War. Anyway, I'm happy to see this updated, and good luck in this continued endeavor!

I've been revisiting Boz Pity over the last couple of days, and I've made a few enhancements to the map. The most notable changes are the additional props. There are some extra tombstones, monuments, and trees to give the map more detail. The map is still very open (and it is meant to be that way), but the empty space is now filled in by more foliage. Some portions of the field are covered by tall grass that is about 2m tall. While that grass does not provide hard cover, it does make it much more difficult for enemies to spot the player (and vice versa).

I've also made a few tweaks to planning, implemented the GCW era, and added some more vehicle spawns. Boz Pity is a vehicle-heavy map - each side has a number of tanks and speeder bikes, and the Republic/Empire each have their respective command walkers. The changes have really made the map a blast to play, no matter what unit class or play style you take. You can take on large numbers of enemies head-on, sneak around from cover to cover, zip around on a speeder bike, wreak havoc in a heavy vehicle, or play in whatever other manner suits you. A few screenshots are posted below. Enjoy!

Another little update: I'm toying with ideas for menu backgrounds. At the moment, I'm trying out some art from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. Some examples are below:

Some other possibilities would be promotional/concept art from the Battlefront games or images taken from the movies. Alternatively, I might create my own more neutral backgrounds, since these images can be a little distracting with all the action and colors.

Let me know what you think! I'm also planning to play around with the fonts, tabs, borders, and all that jazz. My hope is that I'll crank out something that looks like a hologram display. :)

Second one's my favorite. These are the kind of background screens you'd expect to have come with the original game. At least my thoughts. Awesome work!

Backgrounds both look good.

Sometime I want to play with that stuff too...

I like both backgrounds, they really fit with their respective screens.
Hidden/Spoiler:
You have Death Star II listed on your mission screen. Is that somebody else's work, or your own? I think Mav made a Death Star II map, but it's not currently in my addon folder. I think he named it Death Star Throne Room though, not Death Star II. 8)

The DSII map is Mav's. All the other mod maps are mine, although some of them are far from playable (Bespin, Kashyyyk, Cato Neimoidia...Endor and Geonosis are playable, but extremely outdated at this point).
