That droideka shield is sexy.
nice shield ( did you use a nebula or did you create it from scratch? )
All id say is make it more transparant and a little darker blue.

I made it from scratch. From a blank photoshop document. (and a blank fx file. it doesnt work in effect editor to my knowledge)
And yeah, I say that because im proud of it. I made it just for kicks and it turned out alright.
Yeah the opacity (word?) is an issue, so I disabled FP. But i might work on it still.
It is darker, its just I have specular as a lighter color to give it a nice tone when on maps like rhen var, so that brightens it up.
But ill take your advice into consideration and play with it a bit.

On a different note, i'll be releasing my sides soon, so if you all dont have the time to make em yourselves, you can work with accurate ep2 clones and accurate droids (not too accurate if you know what i mean).

Funny but my SKin Pack contains a red droideka shield.
I'll admit I should've played around with it more but at least its red.

@droideka 88: seriously dude, you seriously need to drop this crazy obsession with your droidekas. they are FINE the way they are. i looked at your posts and there are about ten that weren't about imperfections of the droidekas. It's just getting annoying now.

off topic: if u ever read star wars labyrinth of evil cus there it says "since the shields were powerfull enough to resist lightsabers,blasters,even light artillery bolts" qoute from star wars labyrinth of evil

Yeah its my map. But the version up for download is outdated. Ill point you to the thread, but I suggest you hold off on the download since its 200 some mb, and wait for the next release, which is soon if I can fix a few fx files.

That's the book's version...and I would hardly agree. The book says it as if the shield was as powerful as a shield from a Star Destroyer. The smaller the shield, the weaker it is. Besides the author must've followed George's example. It's not surprising since HE has to always approve every novel.

Dude, if you don't like the way droidekas have been made, then don't be a fan of them. Droidekas were super powerful units with super powerful shields. That's the way they are and that's the way it will always be. If you don't like it, then too bad.

This Droideka guys kills me LOL . If people didnt follow george's example it wouldnt be Star Wars . I bet this guy thinks Lightsabers should be powered by Lucozade or somethin ,instead of a crystal!

Anyways, the droideka is a STATE-of-the-ART droid that was SO expensive that the greedy Nemodians were loath to commit them into battle and held MOST in reserve for starship security and personal guards. The Battledroids were like cardboard boxes with guns that could be build a million a minute for really cheap, the SBD was SIMPLY an expansion of the Baktoid 1 version and even used many of the spare parts of standard Baktoid 1's to make them more cost effective. They were upgraded in the armor and intellegance fields, but were still only slightly more powerful cardboard boxes with built in heavy guns.
The droideka's were efficient, overly engineered, and used highly expensive components. Not to mention they were built and designed by a different race altogether and are not a Baktoid brand. THEY are immune to small arms fire, and the only evidence we have EVER seen that supports the fact the shield EVER can run out or be penetrated was when Anakin blew the crap out of them in the Nubian Hanger in TPM with a N1 Starfighter.
No offense my droideka loving friend, but I am a HARDCORE battledroid fan, and droidekas are something I have looked into thouroughly when making my expansion. Though I am working hard to make the Republic shine, I am VERY picky about my CIS side. The CIS is my favored side, and I hated EP3 when they basically ruined the droids.
MY MOD, will have MY Droidekas, like everyone else has said, make a mod of your own, or get out of my thread. It takes a lot to get me annoyed, and just about EVERY post I have seen from Droideka88 has been whining complaints.
As to the mod, I still need help getting the master projects openned and munged so I can change the basic LUA's

I fiddled with the mission.lvl found out it holds more than just the mission.LUA's What I need to know is WHAT the mission.lvl contains so I can pile all the shipped assets that need to be in my editted .lvl so when I munge it and get the new mission.lvl it has everything in it to work.
