I am having trouble editing the existing sides. I have done it before but it has been a while. Al I am trying to do is make the imperial officer have a normal pistol instead of the sonic pistol.
I went through the jedi side tutorial but I cant get it to work for some reason. Is there any other tutorials out there for side editing?

I wasn't really clear in my problem description, I know how and what to edit I just can't get it into the game without it crashing. When I get to the step when you add the "dc:" to the mission script something goes wrong.

I don't know if there are any other tutorials, but to do what you are trying to do, just go to the sides/imp/odf folder and open the imp_inf_default_officer file and change "imp_weap_inf_sonic_blaster" to "imp_weap_inf_pistol".

Odysseus55, where are you placing your dc: at? make sure that its in the right spot.
