Problem with mod tools
I just got the mod tools for SWBFI but every time I try to use them it says I have to have SWBF1 installed, which i do. What do I do?

Did you install BF1 from Star Wars:The Best of PC DVD?
I seem to recall some members saying that the BF1 Modtools won't work with the "Best of PC" version because it only recognizes the CD version of BF1.

Assuming you're trying to run ZeroEdit, you have to go into the folder that BF is installed in and run LaunchBF.exe.
If you have BoPC, then it won't work.

if you have Best of PC (BoPC) then you cant make maps (run zero edit - "edit mod-ID") because zero edit does not recognize the dvd format of BoPC, you need the orgiinal copy of the game; but with some practice you can make some cool mods. Read this tut to get started on ODF editing:

... you can also edit msh and tga files to make your mod that much better.... but start with the tut on "quick and easy side editing" and work your way up from there.

I have the CD Version of SWBF.
EDIT: Ok, I did what you said. But now I get this error whenever I try to open ZeroEdit.

I get virtually the same error when I try to open it for SWBF2 as well.

It looks like you don't have the BFBuilder (mod tools) folder rooted directly to your C:/ drive.
C:/BFBuilder/
If it is not installed properly, directly to your C: drive, the tools wont work.
**pro tip***
It doesnt have to be rooted directly to your C: drive, but there must be NO spaces in the root directory
(examples:
C:/LucasArts/modTOOLs/BFBuilder will work
C/Program Files/Star wars Battlefront/BFBuilder wont work
its the spaces that make the difference
