The title says it all:

How do I make objects transparent, I'm guessing I need to use gimp for this but I don't know how to make the texture so that battlefront 2 knows its transparent.

To make the texture transparent in GIMP, right-click the layer, select "Add Alpha Channel," and slide the Opacity slider to your desired level of transparency.

Hmmm...could be a wallhack. If the objects are transparent (would look very cool) you will see all the enemies.
