Although it looks like there isn't much cover, the troops manage to make it behind the lines and capture the last CP. They use the trenches effectively too.

Perhaps instead of Americans vs Nazis you do Russians vs Nazis to lend your map some credibility.

in germany its forbidden to display swastikas in anything but movies and we generally dislike rather detest the symbol. i think thats what he meant.

i don't think it's an good idea to use this atrocious time as an theme for a map you want to play for fun. we could start now an debate on principles but i think this will bring use only out off topic. So i will avoidance this topic.

I disagree with the first part of your quote. (not that its good to make light of it as I have great respect for the military and all who were affected by any war) Look at other games like battlefield and COD or most specificly medal of honor those all use different war pereiods of stuff that actualy happened and from the pictures it doesn't look like he has concentration camps or other stuff that would specificly point out or highlight the nazi war crimes or stuff.

that rediculous, say that to ALL the movies and games about WW2, and while your whining about this in here you play COD or some other gma eset in a current war. its the same Diet Dr. Pepper thing...its just a game.

Moving on from that touchy subject, I really like the theme of this map. Good thing you got going there. Looks like you're capturing the feel. Can't wait to see the eventual finished product.

And to go on subject. If the map is sent in like france, it should NOT be russians. British vs nazis works fine for THIS map. You want to do a russian vs nazi map? Do it in the ukraine, or poland, but not france.

I like this map idea, so keep on keepin on.

@Anakin: While I dont entirely agree, I do understand and we should all respect him. Just a duh for people who didnt know, Anakin is german, as is Darth D.U.C.K. It makes perfect sense why no one in germany wants to remember those dark days in their history. Which itself shows their opinion on the subject. Even video game covers have it removed in germany. However. It is the right of the artist that gives Agentsmith the right. Heck, most people dont like to remember their bad parts of their countries history. Japan doesnt like it, niether does germany. I am an american, And I am not proud of some of the things we have done.(Not going to say what, but I dont like to be reminded of them. Its just human nature.

well, i for one respect germany for at least acknowledging what happened, and trying to forget it. (forgetting it may or may not cause issues WAYYYY in the future, like a couple thousand years, but thats offtopic) im american and oddly enough, our stupid government just tries to rewrite our books and stuff to make things seem different. for example, the american civil war had nothing to do with slavery in the beginning, ABSOLUTELY nothing. but we try to say it did, so we dont look as bad.

anyway that was offtopic, so back ontopic, your map looks great Smithy 38 and i do hope you continue making it.
