How so? I don't (nor does any human being) know what Io's sky looks like (we've never been there, derp

).
What I meant is that the volcanoes are a dark, almost black color. To get the two to match, you should either darken the land or lighten the sky objects, one of the two. Not to be harsh.

Acutally I think the above pic looks pretty cool and could make for a rather unique map if used as a reference.
Id just like to point out, this picture is a fake. If you look closely you can even see the blades of grass.

Yeah, just found that out myself.
The guy who made this wrote:Okay, okay, I made this last year in Photoshop to be a background for my laptop. It was created by combining an image taken by Andreas Tille in the Eldgjá Fissure in Southwestern Iceland (original image) and a simulated view from the surface of Io (from Gish Bar Patera) of the eastern horizons. I used Photoshop CS to adjust the colors to match those of Io, to blur out the more obvious blades of grass, and to remove some of the distant mountains (due to the obvious atmospheric scattering).
I would like to say it is a nice concept. The surface
is quite yellow due to all the sulfur.

I so called it.

Well, duh, of course that picture is fake. Any big-time astronomy geek would know that no probe has ever landed on the surface of Io to take such a picture...
But it is pretty accurate. You can always use orbital images for reference as well.

Alright, alright, bash on the medium-time astronomy geek.

At least that part of my post's valid.

Just thought I would mention that I started working on the N7 armor. I'll have work in progress pictures up soon. Is there someone willing to make reskins of it once I'm done? I may have too much on my plate at the moment to do them myself.
Yeah, I changed my mind Marth. I'll finish my contributions to this project before I finish my own projects. To be honest, finishing this Mass Effect stuff seems more exciting to me at this point in time because I have been working on my map #2 FOREVER!

Well, that, and because I love Mass Effect!
EDIT: Top Half is about half done:
There's a seam in the middle of the armor because I did a quick and dirty mirror. It won't be there in the final version.
EDIT 2: I made massive improvements to the torso piece of the armor:
(It's still in the high poly stages; I've yet to start making the low poly model)
There are also a couple of control edges problems, but those will be easy to fix.

that's awesome. the armor could be used for TCW Kenobi too, if you'll do this

...I am completely aware of all of this. Like I just said, this is a rough draft; I am "drawing out" the shape of the weapon in the right viewport.
EDIT:
...whoopsies! I meant to post this in the Showcase Thread...

Do you think you could PM me some orthographic shots that I could use to attempt to create textures with?

I'll handle the texturing

Unless you really,
really want to do it.....

Armor looks good. Fun part will be making the Low and UVing it then the Bake. That is where all the headaches can begin.
Quick tip for the AO rendering though. Up the sampling to around 128 or better, looks less grainy.
