How would one go about allowing the rancor to be killed? And how can you change the color of the rzncor so that it looks like a rare variety?
I would very much appreciate it if someone could please tell me how this will work (if it can).

No need for all the smiley's. To change the rancor's color open up it's tga in the tatooine msh file.

Technicly the rancor is just an animated building right? (someone stop me if I'm wrong.)
so you could just give it hp.
MaxHealth = "100.0"
^ in ODF

As for getting it to crumple up and die like a unit... I have no clue.

Caleb could I assign it an animation? such as the soldier death animation thing.

You can't. Units have waaaay different skeletons.

Only thing you can do is make it explode into bits, or just freeze it till it dissapears.

there may be a way to flip it over after death, but I don't think so.

Yeah, you can make a half-rate ZE animation of the rancor falling over. Lua could trigger it when its loses it's HP.

An explosion would be funny.

And realistic if it had 'heated guts' particles.

Meh, why would a creature explode after it dies through blasterfire etc :P If the ZE flipping over works, that'd be the best IMO. Then again, perhaps chunks are easier. Dunno.

Giving the sarlacc health? Same way, put MaxHealth = "???.?" in the odf. I'm not sure how the sarlacc works but I think only the tencacles are animated/dangerous, the rest is just like a normal object, so you'd have to shoot all tentacles seperatly for it to die. Heh, that's pretty fun.

Those'd go best with an explosion I think, not so much a fiery explosion, but those things falling apart in chunks :D
