This is my first mod for SWBF2. Skins are finished! No more skins will be made for this crazy thing. I hope you like 'em!

NOTE: You need the SWBF1 Conversion Pack 1.80 with the 1.81 patch or the full version of 1.81 to play Hero Assault, which is pretty fun.

*Story*

Clone Wars

The CIS have just recently assaulted Kamino, and the Republic is running low on reinforcements as they continue to defend the main Cloning Facility.

The CIS has the upper hand at the moment, significantly outnumbering the Republic forces by a fifth more

It seems the CIS will win this battle. Things are looking down for the Republic forces.

So the Republic has no choice but to attempt a final breakout attack with their remaining troopers and Commandos

Then along came an ARC squad...

Installation: Just extract the KO1 folder with 7-ZIP or WinRAR to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\Addon (AddON, addon, whatever)

Uninstallation: Delete the KO1 folder from your Addon folder

*Features*

General

- almost every single weapon has been localized correctly to fit the Star Wars universe

Republic

- Reskin of Clone Trooper, Sharpshooter, and ARC Trooper

- The Red ARC Captain replaces the Clone Commander

- Clone engineer now has a DN Bolt Caster

- The ARC Trooper (ep2 rocketeer) is replaced by a Rail ARC Trooper because I never found his PLX Rocket Launcher to be useful on Kamino

- The clone weapons have been modified to be more realistic and out of order, so it's like some crazy fun or something

- And the last but certainly not least feature for the Republic is (drum roll).............the Clone Commando!!! (yeah...maybe it might not blow your socks off)

CIS

- The CIS finally has some kick butt skins!

- The B-1 Battle Droid has replaced the Magnaguard (only in the list)

- The weapons were beefed up considerably to match the power of the possibly now overpowered clones

- Jango Fett has a new arsenal:
1. Westar 34 Blaster Pistol
2. New Flamethrower (new animation)
3. Kamino Darts
4. New Rocket Launcher

Alliance

- Not much yet

Imperials

- Imperial Clone Commando has been added

*Fixed Bugs and Issues*

- The sides for CW are now very well balanced. It's possible for either side to win.

- The DC-15 carbine is fixed

- The issues with the CIS are now fixed

- The Heavy Rifle is back

- Magnaguard with the electrostaff is here. I'd use the one from the Conversion Pack, but I wanted him to have the ol' Bulldog, so sorry

*Known Bugs and Issues*

- The DN Bolt Caster doesn't have any sound because I didn't add it yet. I'm not sure I can legally, so tough luck there...

- Using one secondary weapon and switching, then firing too quickly with Jango Fett may crash the game. That's because you can't do the 1.5 second animation in 0.5 seconds....easy as that, lol

- Hero Assault is quite a bit "customer serviced" as in, shoved half way up its [raw danger!]. Here's the list of problems:

|The cp's (except one) are capturable, but there's technically an uncapturable cp for each side. More explained in the next one

|There's a weird bug with cp7 where cp5 is right on top of it, making a spawn bug with AI appearing in cp7


It works as you'd expect (I hope you're expecting functional). This might not actually be an issue, since it adds a bit of originality with Hero Assault.

Nice, but it's a bit bright for Kamino...and the skins look a little painted (why does jango's pistol have no texture?)

The gun is like pure metal to there isnt much detail on it, but my texure probally could use touching up.

oh and phazon im pretty sure in my assets pack i included a better skin for jango, you could use it (i think it looks better then the shipped one).

The clone skin wasn't made by me, it was made by a person named Alex533 or something like that. It isn't perfect, but a lot of people liked the skins last time I checked.

@Syth: I'll look into it. I'm gonna go online and play SWBF2 in a minute though, lol.

- The localisation in the menu is bugged, I don't see a name for the map.
- I don't really like those thin lasers, hard to see and sometimes there are no lasers at all to be seen.
- Only 3 playable heroes in assault... what happened to all the others...
- Maul has no sound
- Somehow only one Assault can be selected. If the other one is useless, why do you still have it.
- Nice Magna Guard. Bit weird... but the staff is ok i Guess...
- Jango fetts flamethrower is nice but bugged in first person, no animation there.
- You can see his dart. Maybe thats becouse its too small and fast.. but still, again first person of that thing is bugged.
- Jangos rocket is still called wrist rocket, even tough it seems to fire from his backpack. Maybe you should explain how to properly aim that thing, its really hard. And if its his backpack rocket... WHY does he have 9 of em!?!
- What is Jango doing there fighting for the CIS ANYWAY!?! (sorry, I like things to be at least 50% canon :P)
- I stopped testing here, I dont really like it. The map is quite the same and the new units are bugged.

I give your map a 6/10... for effort and becouse you added a lot of new stuff regarding to weapons and units. But I really don't like the skins either, but that is just taste.

I hope other people DO like your map...

That's the first bad comment on my map. Sigh....

- What? What's your language of the game? Do you have Bird Kid's startup-screen thingy? That changes the game language to european and makes my map name disappear (I tested)
- As for the thin lasers, I like to have those, so I'm not changing that
- Did you read the freaking readme!? I said you needed the Conversion Pack 1.80 with the 1.81 patch or the full version of 1.81!!! Then you get new heroes! Whooppie!
- I can't tinker with that stuff at the moment since I have to deal with the sound bugs in the conversion pack heroes

Well pahzon, it´s your first time but you will come over this ;)
To be true if you go on modding you will get more "bad comments" .
Maybe RC-1290 critism sounds a bit harsh but it has lot of more usefull information/comments for you than every other post.

See, what can you learn from comments like great, wonderful, best map ever and so on?
They are nice for your soul but they bring you no step further to create better maps/mods or what else.
Have a closer look at the posts with real contents even if they sounds bad!
You don´t need to change your map that everyone likes it. It´s your map and you should like it but often there is something true in feedback (be happy if you get any). Don´t block critism by default. People don´t like your map, get over it. It´s not your problem but if they tell you something usefull listen to it, think about it and make your changes or not.

well, first off the there arnt any 1st person anims for wrist weapons. The sabre dart is actualy an emitor (only way to incorperate poisen) so you arnt going to see anything (didnt see anything in the ep2 anyways). And the jet pack rocket is meant to be hard to aim, you have to aim down a bit, or just use lock on and it will follow the enemy.

Yea I understand the idea that it must be hard to aim the rocketlauncher. I was just that I found out that it's not just hard but nearly impossible to aim straight forward. But I guess that's what will sepperate the good from the elite.

And I hope when I finally release my map(in half a year or so) that people really take a good look at what is bugged doesn't look right or just bothers them, becouse when I get a list of things people think I should improve, I know what I should do to make it better. And I'm sure sometimes things are just about taste and it will not be a list of things I MUST change.

- I indeed have the European version of the game. It seems solving this is just a matter of copy pasting all the US english stuff to the UK_English localisation.
- Indeed I do tend not to read the Entire readme :P. Most of the time, Battlefront map Readme's are quite the same. I was just testing this map quickly and I missed the Note saying that you need the newest conversion pack + patch.
- I don't know why there are two Assaults. But there are somehow:|... maybe it has ,again, Something to do with the conversion pack... maybe not.
- I didn't say the staff was bad. I actually said it was nice. I also said it was a bit weird(becouse the effects aren't exactly where they should be, if you compare them to the film) but that it doesn't really screw up the staff and that it's fine.
- I don't want Jango to be weaker, but you could make it so ONE rocket on it's own is very destructive. And you could still give him more rocket ofcourse. It depends on if you want realism or fun Gameplay(or both)
- And that last thing about jango, I was thinking about the one attack(in the expended universe) on Kamino wich was AFTER geonosis, wich means AFTER Jango's head was cut off. That's why I talked about canonness (or is it canonity?)

I liked the map, its just crazy fun. Just one comment from me though. For the Clone Commando, the first person view is just the recticle and hud, but no animations for the clone's arm or weapons. Its just the shots appearing out of midair. The clone is also holding the weapons kinda funny for 3rd person, but thats probably how it was made since i've seen him on other maps holding it the same way. The guy still kicks butt though. Oh and to the people that still have 1.76 version, all heroes work for that version also, just the names are in code form, but they still work correctly.

On Topic: Yes, your post did help me, along with Rends'. I know it's the first bad comment I got, but I took to it so harshly because it seemed a little rude.

I've always helped people since I was 10 years old (the age when you start to notice who you are...or maybe it was phrased different...), and about 20-30% of the time people actually thank me and appreciate what I do for them.

I hope my outbreak didn't offend anyone...

Now here's some responses again:

- Yep, yep, and yep.

- Oh alrighty then. Kind of funny though since I posted it.

- I looked back on that, and I think it has to do with the language, again. I remember that my map was missing hunt when I had Bird Kid's screen thing...

- And that's why there's an alternate odf. It has some electro effects on it, but it uses maul's combo, but I could change that...

- I guess you should try what Hero said. I put the lock on key to Numpad 4 so I could reach it easier (off topic, but where is mouse button 4?)

- Oh.... don't know a lot about the expanded universe, but I know enough to get by in a typical situation. This, however, is not a typical situation...
But who, out of the shipped characters, has been to Kamino other than Jango or Boba Fett? I don't know that, but it certainly isn't Darth Maul (dang Pandemic), ROFL!

@mechudo90- I don't know how to get custom first person working, sorry...

Off-Topic: Actually, I have my lock-on set to the numpad 0 key.(I don't remember saying there was a 4th mouse button. :?)

I actually had some fun playing this online yesterday.

Now, there's a few problems i can see.

In one of the hunt modes, you can't spawn as the clones. With Auto Assign on, this was a bit of a pain - though we did eventually skip map.

Also, there are some localization errors, mainly heroes not being localized properly.

Apart from that though, it was actually quite a fun map to play.

@Hero- I meant if there is a mouse button 4.

I can fix localization when I can get all the names of the weapons for the KOTOR stuff.

Also, does anyone mind if I name the Swamp Wampa the Swampa? I already have a little goofy localization anyway, lol.

I have to learn how to script campaign stuff (I tried it once, but it failed like I said in the modding forum), then I can fix anything where players can join the enemy team, etc.

And I don't know what the problem could be with the clones in hunt. It's just the republic, not anything else...

I think i found a glitch because when I was online with one of my friends, in the middle of the match it just froze and both of us crashed to our desktops we both made servers but still it crashed.
