Buggy Disrupter Rifle

I wanted to recreate the disrupter rifle from JKA that disintegrates people, so i modified force push, sniper rifle, and incinerrater

problem is, it works at long range, sometimes at point-blank, but never at medium, and the cone is too wide at long range, any ideas how to make it consistent over all ranges, and keep it from being extremely easy to hit targets with?

The problem is that a cone is a cone. It is a point on one end and tapers out. You can alter the angle of tapering so that it's really long and thin, but you can't prevent it from become wider as you go along further down its length.

i tried setting the angle to zero, and then it only worked at point blank... and then, still too wide of an area.

Why do you need cone-related parameters anyway? Your ordance's ClassLabel isn't emitterordnance, is it?

i assumed smolder was part of emitter ordnance

can a bolt or bullet use the disappearing on smolder? or smolder at all?

basically, that's what i did, but started with different weapons to get the effects I wanted from them, and added in the few things from the incinerator that i wanted.

Try giving a beam or something else smolder.
