Hi guys,
Anyone know why certain mod maps won't work on dedicated servers? My clan leader has been trying to put mine on the server (for when it's ready to release), and it won't show up. We tried using the mapinfo.txt files posted here by Azzameen, but no luck. Certain other maps won't work on the clan's dedicated server either. Is there some aspect of mod maps that prevent them from showing up on a dedicated server? Thanks for any insights and/or solutions offered.

RE: Dedicated Servers
What is your map? Becuase If its not out yet, then I did not make a mapinfo for it. Also, maps with new sides don't work on server version 1.2 and lower.
There should be a tutorial for making mapinfo files. If you're computer literate enough to make a map, then you should understand these instructions:
Make a new text document and simply type this into it.
"CW,[mapnamehere],[mapfoldernamehere]c,CIS,republic,350,350
GCW,[mapnamehere],[mapfoldernamehere]a,alliance,imperial,350,350"
Quotations are not to be put in file, but everything in between them should.
Change both [mapfoldernamehere]'s to the folder your map is in in the addons folder(ie:tat3) Note the C and A found immediatley after the folder name.
Replace [mapnamehere] with the name of your map(as it appears in addon.script. Open addon.script in notepad and scroll right. You'll quickly find the proper name.)
The numbers are the default ticket count.
If you have a new side, then in 1.2 it won't work with the stand alone server, but in v1.3 it does, just remember not to change the side names. They must always remain the same for it to work.
If you need help understanding these instructions, then please ask for it. If
anyone wants to correct me on this, then I will shoot them with an assualt droid rocket. . .er I mine correct myself.

RE: Dedicated Servers
Hi Ace,
Yeah I forgot to mention that we did indeed make a mapinfo.txt file for it in the same format -- it didn't seem to help. There is no third side in the map. I'm gonna have another guy trying it on a dedicated server, so we'll see if it works for him.
