Shielding? {SOLVED AGAIN}

Hi guys! Can you tell me how to put a shield on my unit? One like the droideka has? I looked in the cis odfs for its shield but it wasn't there. Can someone help, please? Thanks a bunch

You didn't look hard enough.
From the Droideka's ODF:

WEAPONSECTION = "2"
WeaponName = "cis_weap_walk_droideka_shield"
WeaponAmmo = "0"

but the "_walk_" bit. Will that affect anything?

Nope. That's just part of the name, it doesn't have any function.

this can be locked
WAIT it crashed when i used the unit. I pressed the shield button and it crashes.

wait i think i've got it - i need to set the WeaponAmmo to 0 don't I otherwise it'll go all funny. I've set it now and I'm munging.

You may need to add it to a channel if you have more than one weapon.

fixed! I set it to infinite on the secondary weapon channel and it started working properly
