Pixar's Up!

I could not find a thread dedicated to this wonderful movie, so here one is!

Disney/Pixar's Up is in my opinion, one of the best movies Pixar has ever created. I mean, I liked all their movies, but this one just was just very special for me. It was an amazing blend of comedy and depth to the story that just made it stand out. You really feel connected to the charactures through the way their lives are portrayed throughout the movie, and also the music; great soundtrack here. The film had a couple of aspects that I think kids would not get by themselves though.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Such as Ellie not being able to have kids.
And even then, this is one of those films that I think an adult could go and see without kids (if they don't have any) and enjoy it just the same. It had a lot of underlying themes that I didn't expect to come across from watching the previews.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Such as the whole "Russel and Carl filling a void in eachothers lives that they had always needed. Where as Carl had always wanted a child, and Russel implied that his homelife with his parents was not ideal either.

Then just Carl having to deal with his wife dying.
I highly recomend this film to people of all ages! It was just a joy for me to watch! :)

QFT. I, too was completely shocked by the amount of content they put in a pixar animated movie. This movie is in a completely differnt league than all other animated movies.
The first 10 minute, especially, (where it shows Carl and Ellie's life together), was very well done. The film reminded me, in many ways, of the Notebook (as far as the Carl/Ellie storyline goes) This movie was one of a kind.

I wasn't going to see it but apparently it surpassed expectations with...practically 90% of every review I've read so far and the people I've talked to....so I'm going to go see it on Friday with a couple friends.

I finally got to see it today and it definitely met my expectations. It was fun, humorous ("I know there's something wrong with my voice!"), and quite touching. Pixar can do no wrong.

You won't regret it! They did a great job on the Story and the Graphics. I personally think it was better than Wall E.

Must be really good then, as Wall-E was one of my favourite films of last year.

Well, the movie was good - the experience sucked.
I told my friend I'd pay for him because he's broke, and I had like 3249023423432423 gift cards. We get there, and I'm like "Two tickets for UP 3D", and then the lady's says "Okay, that's $25". Ugh, I was shocked, I even double checked with her. Luckily my gift cards handled the cost.

The theatre was packed, so we sat, like, 3 rows from the front, and so our necks hurt afterwards, and the glasses were annoying, as you had to continually push them back up on your face. Not to mention that the movie was hardly even 3D. There were a few parts which were noticeably 3D, but most of it hardly popped out at all.
I tried watching it without glasses, but that hurt my eyes because of the blurriness.

Afterwards, I saw my friend there, and it was like "Don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact", but he saw us, and of course he ended up asking the question "What movie did you see?". Yeah, we found it embarassing.

Oh, and I didn't mention that after seeing the movie we went to Tim Horton's to hang out... Bad idea. 20 of us were squished into one little corner, and it was really awkward and uncomfortable. They expected us to sit there for 2 hours, but my friends and I left around 10:00. We went to McDonalds, ate some food, hung out in my friend's car, listened to music.

The youth group night sucked (but hanging out with my friends afterwards was fun), but the movie was pretty good.
I just wish we had gone to see the 3D version. Would have been much cheaper, and much less eye-bleeding to watch.

My experience was awsome. One of my friends invited me to go to see the movie with her, so I went, not knowing who all would be there, and to my surprise, it was just me and six girls. Lots of fun.

I went to see it last night. It was great! A lot of it was considerably deep and emotional...I mean...I was surprised. I really enjoyed it.
