I really don't understand the fuss about this. Am I missing something here? I wasn't paying enough attention to what was going on I guess.
What I got is the in the voting for the hair color people thought blonde would make her look stupid, and then in addition to that there are people who openly oppose the option of her being gay.
Now I admit, I don't think the blonde color is as pretty as other colors. But I don't believe in the stupid stereotype of blonde women are idiots. It's hair, just hair. I always can't understand why people are making such a huge fuss over this. This is just the "official" look for FemShep, but you can give her a total custom look with any hair style and color you want ingame. Ugh people drive me to distraction sometimes. And to the end of people hating the fact she can be gay,
grow up. I could rant about the fact gay people deserve equality and all that crap, but it's a game and no one here wants to hear my rants on that anyway.
I like the redhead, but I think any other hair color would have been just fine. Including blonde.

You're pulling too much out of this. This is basically a high school popularity contest, the winner of which gets featured on video game box art. You will probably never see this FemShep ever again after Mass Effect 3 is released because everyone will be transferring their ME1&2 saves so they'll have their own versions of FemShep.

I think you missed my point. I know all that, it was kinda what I was saying. I wasn't the one going out there and saying it's wrong to have her be blonde. All the so called "fanboys" did.
My point was I didn't understand why there was such a fuss over it in the first place. I wasn't the one pulling too much out of this.

@Twilight: Very.
@Wulfman: The best I can put it, people saw the 1st round voting broken down into 3 Natalie Portman's from V for Vendetta, Rihanna, a Goth, and a blonde. And they felt that any of them were better to reflect the harden soldier Shepard is. That people were just voting for the blonde because she was blonde. Not the fact that the blonde had the better hair style and better looking face. Well, that sounds like an opinion, but you know understand what features I'm talking about.
2nd round proved those people wrong that others were voting for her because she was blonde.
Like Twilight said, high school popularity contest. It is quite silly, but hey, that's what humans do.

Sorry for the lack of updates on the front post, I've been out to sea and I'm about to go back out for a week or so. I'll try to get it up to date when I get back.
@RED's earlier post: While I'll probably be going for the "best" ending with my straight-paragon male Shepard, that's the only one I'm gonna care; I'm looking forward to seeing how my other characters will end up, the ones I use to make "my" choices.

Bump for update. There is multiplayer in ME3. But it's just Co-op. So I'm good. I was actually kind of hoping for Mass Effect Co-op. While a full-fledged MP could work, I think it'd feel just... wrong, so I'm glad they opted for co-op.

Will SP be completely independent of the co-op? That is, could you play through the entire SP aspect of the game without an internet connection and not notice a thing?

Where was this announced? Is it online only or local only or both?

We probably won't hear any official news for another week or so. I'm hoping more of coop like modes than head to head multiplayer.
In an Australian gaming magazine. No details yet. Probably when it goes on sale.

It has been slightly officially confirmed. This is the whole quote by ME2 on FB, which is my source:
Mass Effect 2 on Facebook wrote:We can officially confirm that there will be a multiplayer feature in Mass Effect 3. However, please reserve your appraisal until we are able to give more information. Our Executive Producer Casey Hudson says it best: "Yes, co-op MP missions for ME3: they're real, and they're spectacular. Rest assured it's nothing of what you've feared. More soon..."
Tune in for a special BioWareTV episode at 10AM on Wednesday October 12th to have all your questions answered!
In the meantime, here's an adorable picture of Garrus:

Eh. It just guarantees that we get it. There will other ways to get it. I do like how we get N7 dogtags. I wonder what other coop modes will be announced in November.

I'll hold off on buying BF3 just for the multiplayer section of the ME3 demo. The post does mention that other ways to get online access through the demo will be made available, and the singleplayer (which is what I'm looking forward to the most) will be available to everyone in any case.

This is a bit late, but now that the game has come out, what does everyone think of it?
I'm a solid 12-13 hours into the game, and its pretty awesome so far.

It's solid so far. I'm like 17hours in? My face didn't import correctly so I'm not judging it til Bioware fixes that. Going to restart when it's patched. But yes I am enjoying it and the multiplayer is a blast.
