A question about hole creation

hey, sorry if this seems simple to some of the xsi vets but it has really been bugging me for quite some time.

i am trying to make some simple doors in some walls and when i export and get it in game, some of the holes have collision and some do not. What is the method others use for this. the way i do it is select the object, slice it until i have the shape and then delet the polygon so i have the gap and finally join the parts where you can see inside the wall.

any help would really be appreciated and if you need more info on my problem just ask.

You need to make sure you have the surrounding polies setup right. Eg. no 7 sided poly. Keep em 4 sided... or tiangulate it.

This way you force the collision to act how you want it to.

When making holes I usally use alt+delete. Just hitting Delete never got rid of the poly for me? :?

@vyse: that's what i meant when i said delete.
EDIT: thx bandu it was the triangulate part that i was not doing and that did the trick :D
