well i'm pretty sure the max slots for vehicles is 8
i'm not positive though
yes turrets count as slots

A vehicle can have 8 "turret" slots, 1 is always used for the pilot. So you can have 7 passengers.

ok thanks, now all i have to do is set up my odf and try to make my msh, i am working with blender and all i have gotten is half of the bottom of the bunker. the problem i keep having is that i can't select the whole shapes that i am making the bunker out of and then it just moves a verticy (spelled wrong i know) causing the shape to be messed up and not flat and then i don't know if theres an undo button... so i guess it will be awhile. since i don't have any idea of how to add on turrets to the tank from other mshes and that i don't know how to set up where pilots sit and how to set up fire points for the turrets. so i guess i'll be reading some tutorials.

i'll probably release the thing on the site after i am done since i have nothing to use it for.

You can't add hardpoints or turrets properly in Blender, so your tank will be only a primitive hover vehicle. (You can still have 8 slots, though) :(
Unless someone cool exports it for you in XSI!

well looks like i'm off to download XSI...

my vehecal was a hover vehecal anyway. a bunker that slowly moves and you can walk inside of it from some ramps outside of it. it hovers low to the ground too. there are firing holes to and you can walk to the pilot seat. it would be awesome if i could get it all done.

IIRC the troopers in BFII don't move with the vehicle they are standing on. So they would slowly slide backwards as the vehicle moves.

thats why the vehecal moves slowly and has a part that is closed in. its basically a box with two porches on the sides with firing holes and then a box in the front for the pilot. its kinda big too.

also the people will stay on it somewhat. if you have seen the AAT, the alliance tank, the rep/emp tanks they all will carry you while you stand on top. i was with 2 of my friends and they were in the tank and i was on top with a sniper picking off people from there. so tanks do carry you forward.

the BF1 skiff thing on the dune seas map was my inspiration for this. i wanted a tank that you could fire your own units guns from and stand inside of it. so i will be making it have a troop hold inside and then an opening near the front to go to the porches and fire and or leave from the ramps on the end of the porches and then the box in the front that has the pilot which will be seeable from there and exposed to anyone who gets in and attacks. it will also be able to spawn units to it like a gunship or atte/atat.
