hey guys, I was wondering if there was any way to get decent frame rates in SWBF2 without at the ground. my computer is a dell dimension 2100 with 512 MB ram and a Nividia GeForce2 64 MB video ram. I understand if this is not possible.

To be honest of all the weaknesses of your system the 1ghz CPU is going to be far too slow to ever get a decent framerate no matter what else you upgrade.

Check
TigerDirect. My brother built me a decent PC (on the site) for like $300 with the monitor (excluding the video card) and shipping. I'm still deciding on what to get though, yeah, I'm slow haha. You can get a decent kit (case, RAM, CPU, fan, etc.) for like $200 and it sounds like you've got a working monitor so it wouldn't be no $500. I have a 1.6 GHz processor on my laptop and its even really slow for SWBF2, plus 64MB video RAM just ain't gonna do it.

thanks for your support, guys.
this stuff sounds good guys, but I am only 13, so money is a huge issue(and I don't get an allowance ether)
Paper route is out of the question, since the routes are so big they are done by car.
thanks again for your guys help.
EDIT: I could get money for selling this computer, but who would buy a 10 year old computer?

It may sound odd but work makes money , if near cold places try to shovel someones driveway and charge them $20 , wash cars, do chores, help old people , do any job you think you can do that's not already filled by border hoppers and save up, it's weird but saving money working is extra Awesomesauce

There are ways you can make money, even if you don't have a job. Before I got a job I bought and sold antique books on ebay, if you know what you're doing you can make a lot of money without working very hard. You can also collect recyclables, such as plastic soft drink containers, glass bottles, and of course aluminum cans. I also fix computers for friends and that's good money. You could easily make enough to build yourself a new computer working hard at odd jobs.

I concur :plokoon:
I bought my PS2 with nothing but money from when I shoveled snow. And there was alot of competition, so I charged 5 bucks.

It is awesome-sauce earning your own money.
