Yes, but if you do it the way I told you, they'll get oriented towards their shared normal, which saves you time from having to re rotate it to its original position.

Have given my rifle a VERY simple texture job using good ol' paint.NET.

Still need to add in texture details such as bolts and basically everything else. :P

Am having a little bit of trouble getting a NURBS Circle to follow the line....It always gets kinda skewed/stretched when i try it. If anyone can either help me fix this or show me another easy way to make that arch, I'd really appreciate it.

Okay People, this is the first Time I have created a Model from scratch, that is not a kit bash.

A Cookie to the guy who can tell me what it is: Please comment. Bear in mind it is WIP The cockpit definatly needs mopre work, and the wings were a pain, but I am proud of it none the less.

First time I can't answer this, +1 point for originality to you. I know 3 similar ship types, but it's not a Sith Fighter, not a Cylon Fighter and not a Bladewing Drone. The model is pure awesomeness btw.

Thanks - Glad you like it. I may add some finishing touches, then embark on the painstakeing task of textureing... I have not yet used UVs to texture - only XY Plane-ing to create the effect. So wish me luck. Actuly if there is is a good tut you can point me to that would realy help.

Whatever it is, it looks outstanding! Nice work! Though, if you plan on putting this in-game, you are definitely going to want to lower the poly count on those guns and engines a lot.

Totally unfair of me, but dangit I want the cookie anyway. MyTil Cloak Fighter.

Nice job on the model, I concur with Marth as well. You only need about 16 sides on those engine cylinders at most.

Yeah, I will work on reducing the ploycount then.

Btw does anyone know what this error means in ANDEWEGET's XSI ZETools? When I check Sel, I t tells me that the the wings have: poly(4) has 6 verts. I have not tried to export it yet because of it.

Now this is slightly wierd, because as far as I can see, the 4th Polygon in the wings is a normal square.

In XSI if you select the wing mesh as an object the click on the Select tab in the upper right it will have another menu pop up, in there you should see something about selecting polygons with 5 sides or more. If you click on that XSI will show you (highlight in red) which are the offending polygons. (doing this from memory so forgive if directions are not exact but it is in that menu somewhere)

Oh yeah, so it is. :lol: Actually though, the reason I said it was unfair is Slime has been working on and off with me (not actually doing anything, I'm not taking credit) on the Hapes Consortium mod, and we had talked about ships.

Thanks guys I fixed the Polygon problem, but unless I can get my Exporter to work, I am not going to much more done..

Texture it and add HPs, then post in the request thread. I'm sure someone will export it for you.

Good news! I Completed the Model for the MiyTil. And added all the hardpoints.

I needs to ask a favour - please texture it for me? It only needs to be a basic thing, R2 Unit, Cockpit, engines and Hull/wings. Not much detail is required.

Anyone think they can do this for me?

Gues what! The MiyTil is In game! Awesome right! Still need someone to help me texture it though....

I am working on the Hetrinar Assault Bomber....

I wonder what I should make for an Interceptor? Maybe just change the shape of the MiyTil slightly, (Smaller, sleeker, less obviously armed) and called it the MiyTil - Interceptor and the original the MiyTil - Fighter... Or I could go Uncannon, delving into the relmes of RPing and try the MiyCal http://library.hapes.org/index.php?titl ... nterceptor
What do you think?

You could always have a shot at texturing yourself, you know. Ace linked to a few awesome texturing tuts for spaceships over in the Texturing Tutorials and Resources thread.

Just curious - is that MiyTil stuff from Star Wars?

Although, I know it from playing SW Combine...

EDIT: I am now working On a Hapan Capital Ship, along with a Sensor Array, Comms Array, Life Support, Engines, Bridge etc, create a completley new Custom SPace Battle.


I May reuse stock Interiors, and Stock cComs array, Life suppor and Sensors, but will feature new Bridges new Engines and New fighters.

Note, the main parts are missing, because they will be added in ZE. I need someone to volenteer to export this, while I sort out some problems I have with my XSI:
