The galactic republic could no longer afford to give its ambassadors fancy red diplomatic corvettes... Instead they get company cars.
Nice model, Rends?
I have one question, though, not about the model... A lot of the WIP's that I see show WIP pictures with hidden line removal. Is there a reason for this, because textured decal or even just shaded looks much better.

t551t551,
well i guess some modders use hidden line removal because the default light creates a ugly looking preview and hidden line looks more like a sketch and you can get an impression how the model was hacked together.

Well, you can make the texture decal look better by going into visibility options and enabling the headlight with an elevation of 0. If you select the polymesh, you get the same sense of how the model is constructed, with a greater sense of depth, as well as the direction of each individual polygon.

in the same panel that you turn the headlight on you can also check show edges on unselected models.

Yes man, i definitely gotta buy the Red Orchestra full version. Great model, just make some more hard edges, i suggest. But you know, what you do is actual modeling, not just putting modified cubes together

Is worth a nice texture in any case.

What exactly is Red Orchestra?

Red Orchestra once started as a WW2 mod for UT2003, which was soon converted to UT2004. After winning some Mod-Contest, the mod-team got full access to the U-Engine and were able to tweak it and add some nice effects. Now that they had licensed the engine, they were allowed to sell RO as a standalone game. The full game is called "Red Orchestra - Ostfront". Ostfront is german for eastfront and "Red Orchestra" was a codename for some russian intelligence service in WW2, if i'm not mistaken.

thats kinda like how the HL games and valve got started, using the Q3 engine and then later building it up to the source engine by adding havoks physics engine.

did they really make the source engine from the Q3 Engine? I thought they created a new engine for the source games. And wasnt HL1 on Q1? (or Q2?!)

99 percent of modelling done but nearly finished.
Next step will be texturemapping.
Doofi, want to skin that one?
