Re: Mine Question
Well, the stock auto turret is a dispensable item, and it has collision. It probably all comes down to MSH the dispensable item uses and whether it has collision or not. So yes, it is possible to give collision to dispensable items. How? Use XSI maybe.

Re: Mine Question
I've been experimenting with dispensers and infact you can dispense just about anything. Buildings, props, etc. I was thinking you could make some kind of puzzle game with BF2 using a dispenser that drops blocks. I tried all the different classlabels and mines were the only ones that had the right physics to work that (props and buildings kind of just stick where they are in the air, you can't really stack them well enough for what I had in mind) so basically, my real question is, how can I make a dispensable object that has gravity but also has collision?
edit: I couldn't get portableturret to work

Re: Mine Question
This is when the item is a mine, it falls to the floor but it has no collision and you can walk through it, place other blocks "in" it and the like. You can't stack them, in other words.

This is when the item is a prop, it doesn't fall to the floor like with mines, it kinda just stays where you stick it. It can be stacked, but not really very well.

I don't know if what I want to do is even accomplishable.
It might also be the object I'm trying to use, I'm gonna experiment with some different stuff.

Have a look at Dan Boeing's Christmas in Jinglin' Town

I made dispensible snow wall which landed properly, I think you could even stack them, it was so very long ago that I made them.

Re: Mine Question
OH! I've always wanted to make a dispensable miniature wall, like the ones in Kashyyyk, for those times when you have almost no cover and are almost out of health, I never knew you could do that, thanks for giving me the idea!
