the only wierd thing about 5.0 with the exporter is the UI problem where theres multiple pandemic tools menus in the file menu but thats nothing more than a niusance.

This is vey annoying...and I don't know what to do...since you mentioned downloading the v4.2 trial, I did, but I got a 404 error when I tried to go to the download page....could it be a texture problem?

i dunno cause ive got a space test map that has the hangars full of extra ships and all of them work perfectly fine and ive never had them crash a map before.

when i downloaded the 5.0 trial, the exporter worked fine, same as it did in 4.2.

Off-topic : dast, might I know whether you've tried to download Softimage|XSI Foundation 4.2 through the "OLDER VERSIONS" section of this web-page ?

well, yeah, of course....hey, I tried it with battlefront 2 this time, and it gave me more info. Though the map ran smoothly, my objects weren't there! But here are two of the key errors in the mungelog:

'PC_texturemunge' is not recognized as an internal or external command

'odfmunge' is not recognized as an internal or external command

jeez you shoulda said you were doing it with BF1, theyre slightly different in folder structure but everything else is the same, did you make req files and all that stuff?

Well, I'm such a dumbarse *smacks head 500 times* but no, I didn't make a req file, but do you need one for swbf1 or 2?

Ow! Do it again! But where do I put these req files? How do I construct them?

*sigh* theyre just simple text files made in notepad with the .req extention on them, look at a shipped side to get the idea.

oh yeah your right, they dont need them, i have no idea what you could possibly be doing wrong since its so simple of a thing to do that i cant even think of anything that can go wrong.

N1nj4 , do you have any shipped world objects in your map or are you just placing your model in an empty map?

in the same folder where your World1 folder is you should have a MSH,ODF,MUNGED and EFFECTS folder.

All you need to do is put your model .msh in the MSH and make an ODF file for it and stick it in the odf. Its exactly the same for swbf1 and swbf2.

Well, of course I did that....but never mind....I got my problem fixed...
