Well, usually a melee weapon just has a null hp_grip. This is a two-handed wepon, though, so I don't know. I'll make it with the standard setup.

you just need 3 nulls ((apart from dummyroot)) hp_active ((where the person will hold it)) and hp_<what ever here> on each end for the effects

Well, I've always used hp_grip, and nothing bad happens.

Delta, I don't know if you got my pm, but I'm done with the magnastaff.

oooooo perty colors :P

looks awesome, I think with short lightsabers at either end it would be better, and maybe a better, more detailed texture for the actual staff.

Also, a little longer would be better.

Who the hell wields this staff ? He/she/it is a menace (to our eyes)! Please tell me he/she/it will never appear in a mod/map.

In terms of the staff, IMHO, the staff itself is to small : it should have a higher diameter.

Its an unskinned model. I believe its based of the Halo 2 Marine.

Quite on the contrary to what you said, it looks great. Once it gets a nice skin on it...it'll be aweswome ingame/

Well, it should look better once I add some little flares like in the rocket trails, and maybe an effect glow. As for the energy ball thingy, I am kind of limited in how I make it. It was a choice between having it and looking kinda dorky, and not having it and looking even more dorky. As for the texture, I am not a texture artist. Never was, and sadly I might never be. Delta can mess with the skin if he wants to, but that is pretty much the limit of my ability.

Also, the energy ball looks better in-game than in a static screenshot, because it is scrolling, and so it is harder to get a lock on exactly what it looks like.

also, look in my rogue clones assets (other thread) for Saturn V's model of the magnastaff. something like that would be absolutely PERFECT.

it might be more balanced if you switch the sbd up before magna-guard and the battledroid first in line

no, actually, the sbd is pretty balanced with the clone. I just had to beef up his rifle a bit and tone down the health of him and the magnaguard and it is right about balanced now.

Ok, update: rep vs. cis is balanced out, and a new deflect system is put in place, so that energy is deducted per deflection instead of over time. If anyone tries to deflect bug they'll be out of luck.

Also, SBD can no longer jump.

Just need a magnastaff now...

EDIT: oooo... The Rebel marine might be getting a new skin.

CIS heroes are still properly messed up, unfortunately.

The wookiee has a claw attack *yay!*

I got permission to use the new marine skin, so he's official.

and I got the magnastaff model *yay!* which is messed up currently *not yay*

and jeteye sure I'll post the new stuff on the front page... if I can remember it all :?
