Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault

I really needed to get a thread out there on this. My map is, what I consider at the VERY least 50%. There are some things, of course, I need to either align or improve.

Just so we're on the same page, here's the list of who's work I used and please feel free to correct me or tell me who I left out. The mind can only contain so much.

Code: Select all

Sky - Unknown as to who made it, but AQT helped me with it.
Service Truck (retextured) - Maveritchell
Venator Corridors, Corners, Ramps, and Doors - DarthD.U.C.K.
Endor Props and stuff - Pandemic and LucasArts of course.
Mustafar Corridors and stuff - Pandemic and LucasArts...again.
Eventual Sides That Will Be Used - AQT
And without further delay, some screens:

Basic description:
An Imperial Crackdown team has been assembled to assault the Death Watch HQ on Endor in hoping that it will bring a sudden and dramatic decrease in overall crime rate within the galaxy. The team, assembled of Clone War veterans and some Elite Early Imperial troops, strike hard by Imperial LAAT/i command gunships and speeder bikes. The Death Watch put up a deadly fight and the fighting intensifies even more once Imperial troops infiltrate the outer bunker defenses and make their way inside to eliminate the Death Watch Overlord in command of said bunker.

Flaws in map that definately need to be attended to:
The corridors themselves look out of place due to different themes. It'd be great if someone reskinned some of these props to make it look more worn and as if the insides were made of concrete walls...some damaged, etc. References will be sent to whoever wants to help.

Some things need re-alignment, if you guys notice the little gaps in the picture. They will be realigned to fit properly, eventually.

I definately need to move some of the CP's and put them in better places. Once the bunker is more complete, a few CP's will be put in some of the more vital rooms/corridors within the bunker itself. Some gunships and stuff will be placed outside in the eventual uncapturable Imperial default spawn.

I also need to smooth out some of the terrain. Some places are wierd and pretty unnaturally steep.

Overall Map Progress (map wise): 55%

Hey, looks like a good map. And it's on Endor, barely any maps are on that planet.

Which is why I am making this map. :D It's a bonus because not many maps are based on Endor and it's also a thing I kind've wanted anyways.

After this will be a new map for the series based in Theed. A Rebel 'Terrorist' cell attacks an Imperial garrison and some vital hangars in Theed and an Imperial Nova Trooper legion is dispatched to take care of it.

Consider this: Imperial Crackdown #1

Next would be #2 and so on and so forth.

Hmm... how about instead of Theed... Coruscant.

^Canonically (if that's even a word), it took place on Theed.

Anyway, I see that you have finally gotten a WIP thread up, Revan. I'll post some screenshots of the custom units soon. :)

Yeah. I'm still trying to refamiliarize myself with modding, but it seems I can't comprehend really anything, so mapping is as far as I can go for now. lol. I mean, some of us are ignorant about at least one thing with modding right? Like one person is fairly good at mapping, but couldn't figure out to correctly do a side even if the concept came up and bit them in the butt. XD

And I've decided the next map is Theed for one reason: I'm going by SWG stuff. SWG's Theed DID have terrorists in one quest, but they weren't necessarily Rebel, but in this I am trying to get the concept down that they were indeed Rebel Alliance troops trying to cause trouble. And it'd be a Nova Trooper legion, because in SWG...Nova Troopers were walking around in Theed quite a lot. Kind've like on Mustafar how there were Inquisitorium Dark Trooper Phase-III's and well....yeah. Just going by what I experienced in SWG. The Death Watch Bunker was my first deadly instance within SWG when I was in a friendly guild of mine named Duel of Fates, or simply, DOF, who use to be FOD, or Fellowship of Doom. This was a long time ago, though. They use to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest guild on the Naritus server/galaxy. :(

Anyways....uhh, where was I? Oh, yes, thanks AQT. That'd be awesome. ;)

If anyone would love to contribute to this possible going on series, feel free. :D

Put me in for the beta testing.

Btw, will there ever be a Mustafar map included?

Perrrrrrhaaaappppsss....

and to the beta testing, I'll try and get it to a more complete version before I send you a version. :D

I've never had beta testers before, so...

I think only very few people will do for now.

You and perhaps a couple of others. I'll see how far I get, depending on my dedication to the map. I've been really busy for awhile, so progress maybe a tad slow.

I'm graduating on May 29, so perhaps I'll be able to squeeze in a lot of time for it. Also depends on when I go on my graduation vacation and it depends on when I get back.

(lol Accidently double posted a sec ago. Thank the force for the delete post button.)

I have a feeling I might need to re-do the OOM droid's skin (I know I made it, but I need to improve it a little). I kinda wanted it to look like the one in a reference picture of him on some website I went to once regarding the DWB instance.

And I might update the red and black camo B-1 a bit too...with a better type of camo. :P

Nova, if they weren't going to be playable, I'm pretty sure that they'd let us know. Even though I've never played SWG, it seems to me that the Death Watch is a bunch of Mandos who like to reactiviate CIS droids.

Looks very nice, but the fog is really kinda odd, perhaps you should change the sky.
