"Click to run activeX?"

Sigh.

I am having trouble on the swbfmac forums. Whenever I try to go onto the message boards, a window comes up that says "click to run an activeX control!" Well, every time I click on it, it causes my internet explorer to crash to desktop. I have a topic on there and it is very frustrating to be unable to answer people's questions.

How do I make the activex thing go away? If I cant, how do I at least fix the crashing? Please help!.

Not sure why this is happening exactly, but it is most likely an Internet Explorer glitch. What version of Internet Explorer are you running? 6 or 7?

The easiest fix I can think of is this: Download Firefox.

The reason I say this is because Firefox works a little better with the activeX/Javascript that is embedded in web pages, and it is also more secure.

I get those errors on myspace all the time, if you set your browser settings to low or medium it will go away, i had mine at hardcore security level and it went buckwild. Also if you have zone alarm running the "block all scripts stuff" it will do that.

Ok, when I get home from school I will try firefox. But, how do I lower my settings? Which menu can I change them in?

"this application needs javascript to run correctly." It works normally, but
