My Minecraft always updates when I run it. How can I not do this?

Delete your minecraft.exe and download the new one from minecraft.net. It'll give you an option to update or not to update.

Good news, Bukkit updated to 1.6.6 this evening. I will put the main server back up tomorrow morning.

In the future, I will be implementing what Dohnutt posted earlier.

The server will always (as much as I can) be up using the latest recommended version of Bukkit. If you update, tough. No GT server for you.

Well, a recommended build is out for Bukkit!

Everything's great, except one thing I've noticed.
Portals aren't working great. ps2owner was saying that when he went through them, he spawned in weird places across the different worlds. And then when I would /mvtp to that world, I'd spawn in an obscure place too.

Hey guys, I'm going to be taking over the server while Twilight_Warrior's on vacation and I need some of you to connect and make sure it works. The IP is [REMOVED]. It's a blank world and it won't be saved, so just log on and play on it for a few minutes to make sure there aren't any issues.

Thanks, again, Xav. I got on with no problems, but if you want to use the dynamic map plugin, that port needs to be forwarded, too. I had it set to 25563, but if you want to change that, it's in the config file for it. Not saying it NEEDS to happen (people can craft maps, anyway), just if you would like to use it.

If you have a spare moment, my portal at -3138, 58, 291 still needs to be re-connected to the Nether hub. Anything you can do would be very appreciated.

Cress, portals have been down since the 1.6 update. We don't have a nether portal hub anymore, it just goes to the real nether.

Oh, I assumed that since the [MainWorld] desgination was back, I could still travel between the areas. (Seed 404 and the main world) Is there any way I can get to the other parts of the server? I'm stuck in the far north at the moment.

You could a) use the dynamic map in the main world and walk for days
b) use the nether portal in your pyramid to go to the nether and use the dynamic map to find our main nether portal (not recommended)
c) ask one of the moderators to teleport you back to town and hope you stumble across your pyramid again someday

I have a problem. I was in the server recieving some stufff from Dohnutt, when my MC crashed. When I tried to log back in, it gets to "downloading terrain", but then turns to the dirt screen, and then to a black screen. I can log onto other servers fine.

Help?

EDIT: Fixed. I force updated and it worked.

The server works fine for me, no lag. Though, I noticed the sign shop is down. Will it be this way until twi gets back, or has it just not been installed yet?

The server lags like crazy now, and it literally saves every 5 minutes or so, which pretty much halts EVERYTHING.

I'm having trouble connecting to the server now, though it might be on my end. (Bad login error)
Also, when it does log in, I get stuck at "Downloading Terrain."
