Hey guys...currently I'm modelling a DC-15 (long) and i was wondering how to model these two things:

the shoulder stabilizer
and
the little thing you can see right here in the middle of the highest part

ref[shoulder]: Image
ref[little detail thing]: Image

tried to model it out using a cube but that didn't work out (shoulder thing)
and for the detail thing i tried to use a cylinder and then to bend it but that lead to strange results :/

help pls :)

welll, just use the basictools and you will be able to make anything, ther is no explanation for doing a particular thing everythng can be done in many ways...
i allways start with cubes for everything not too spehrish/cylinderish, giv it the correct shape (lowpoly) and then add more and more polys with the duplicatepoly or add edge/split edge tools
do you have xfire or icq btw?

for the detailthingie you could use the extrude along curve tool

The stock can be made quickly and easily by lofting curves.
