Comparing SWBF2 to the Battlefield games isn't really fair. They're the same
type of game, but SWBF2 is geared as an arcade-ish game, whereas the Battlefield games are much more simulation. Personally I don't want all the simulation stuff. Keep gameplay simple and inviting. I just can't get into a game that worries about getting the exact specs of a real rifle into a game. Give me a game that has slightly "cheesy" gameplay, as that's MUCH more fun to me personally.
SWBF2 is also a year older than Battlefield 2, that's a big difference when it comes to development of things like physics and whatnot. Give it a break. If you don't like it, fine, but it just doesn't seem smart to call a game that a site is build around

Haven't played any of the Battlefield series so I'd have to go with SWBF2 although the Battlefield games do look good.

I don't own BF2142, but I have played it on a friend's computer, and I rather enjoyed it. However, probably because of familiarity and the reason Tean mentioned, I like the gameplay of Battlefront 2 better. I did rather enjoy the Titan mode in 2142 though.

I think this would be a fairer debate if it was about each game's engine. But then again each engine was designed differently and Zero is how old?
Both are great games/franchises and I'm always excited to see more. Both can live side by side.

I've seen BF2142 before. I didn't think it seemed all that fun, most of the vids I've seen are of people just shooting. Battlefront I prefer because of the
1: wide range of modding things you can do
2: Zeroengine is my FAVORITE engine, due to familiarity and simplicity
3: the crappy graphics can come in handy on occasion. If you are somewhat lazy, you don't have to go all hi-def to NOT be called a suckish modder.

Haha! You thought wrong.
Well I didn't mean it that way. What I meant to say was, BF 2142's gameplay is more realistic and I think just better. Like Tean said, SWBF 2 is more of an arcade type game. Pandemic was not trying to compete with BF2142 nor are they made by the same person. If they were the game would be a whole lot different. So is this case this topic is pointless. It might have a point is the two games were competitors and there was something going on between the two, Pandemic had other thoughts for Battlefront 2. The two are un - related in almost every way except that they are two Sci - Fi shooters.
