Is anyone playing online?

Every time I look at the server list it's usually a small handful of games. Is this because I'm not running the 1.3 patch? Does the patch have any sort of negative affect like not letting you join servers that are on the official patch?
Also, considering I have a very up to date PC (any new game runs smooth with max settings even online play) would I be able to reliably host a game from my PC and others at least in the US have a good ping?

The 1.3 "patch" shouldn't affect the list of servers, and if your computer is that good, it's more likely that your router/ISP will affect the ping the most.

ISP is high speed cable, router is not a problem since I can just forward the ports.
Well so that means even if I did have the 1.3 installed I wouldn't be seeing any more servers than I do now, was hoping more people were playing.

What time of day are you playing? When i get on it is about 9:00 pm eastern and there are about 50 servers. But one time i got on at like 2:30 pm and there were about 25 servers. So really it depends on when you play online. :maulsaber:

Make sure your online settings are set to "Search All Regions"

Well, even then, there are usually only around less than ten servers up that have more than a couple of people.

Really SWGO Jedi Battle Arena is the only server you can depend on. And don't let any Merc try and tell you their server is better, because theirs lags and has crappy admins.

Can't speak for the lag, but I can agree with this.

Well I'm in germany so i only get like 15 servers a time, but they all are quite well visited...I always go to "Ententeich" or "Tew open train" or "Cena open server" (I was in the cena clan for a while). My name is webster online.

Well there were actually a lot up last night even though a large chunk of them were empty. SWGO was fun, smooth play and didn't even notice admin presence which meant they weren't abusing.

Yeah the v1.3 patch doesn't change the list of server, but the official v1.1 patch does, there's more people playing on the V1.0.
And if you want to play a bit online, i would join for some matches

(pm me or xfire (my xfire is under my avatar))

Debatable.
But the point remains that there are different servers for different versions, aside from 1.3, because that's a mod, not an actual patch

I find that Mercenary usually has more people, but SWGO has a better gaming experience. My only beef with those two is that approximately 80% of the popular playing times it is just GCW.

^Fine with me because GCW is better than CW era BY FAR, so much of the CW is aimed more towards younger fans in so many ways. I'd rather not get into that though cause I could go on for years about why the originals beat the prequels in every way.
I really wanna see more space maps up though, to me space is the best part of the game even though things could be changed to make it MUCH better.

I'm not gonna go into a flame war about prequels or clone wars (though I agree, originals all the way). However, the reason I have a beef is that it gets a little dull when you're playing with the exact same sides over and over.
The reason most servers don't have space is because too many people suck at flying, and also because online there are so many people that the missile trails dissapear, the main way which people see them.

There's only one space mission in the playlist for SWGO Jedi Battle Arena(last I checked), and that's CW Space Mygeeto. I might be able to use some of my pull and get them to add a GCW Space Battle to the playlist, no promises.

Just in general I find a lot of the people who play on line are more interested in how many times they can toss a detpack at your feet and blow you up then actually playing the game.
Just one man's opinion, though.

Nah, I'd say it's an evident fact. {:}o

Yeah, they turn off FF so that they can throw a grenade at you point blank for an easy kill since they wont be harmed by their own grenade. If FF was on most of the people playing would find it much harder to get the scores they're getting, kinda cheap.
