I'm been working on the GF sides for awhile, and Their finally ready for a Gamma release. In this thread I will be release stuff related to Metroid Prime Battle Front. The other release thread is for my non related Prime stuff. So here's the second map:

My very first released map is the start of a great mod project. This map is called Dagobah: Valley Bog,
a map I made to gamma test my new side mod: the Galatic Federation. This map is cw only era, but you are
not facing against some fancing droid army, or a rebelloin, but instead, you are up against the Black Sun Forces,
a very dangerous terrorist group.***********************************************************************
********************************************************************************************************

STORY:
The Dagobah Incident:
At 7800h ago, the terrorist group Black Sun invaded Dagobah, the once forgoten world which is now a booming
bio research facility, and managed to take it. At 8500h, they sent a distress signal to a nearby the 45th garrison fleet,
which was actally a trap. At 8550h, the 45th began to land at the research facility that had sent the signal to began evacuting, since fake signal said
nuculor power station was about to explode, and whould set a chain reaction across the planet that will engulf the planet
in a firing blaze. Upon arrivel, the Black Sun Forces attacked the unprepared garrsion, and completly wiped them out.
24 hours later, the 85th garrsion fleet began there assault on Dagobah. The Black Sun Forces thenhj32581358-013hgu32fskafbwqeoihfan

GALATIC FEDERATION TACTICS:
You outnumber the Black Sun Forces, Plain and simple. However, if you just stand around and do nothing,
your gona lose. Your goal is to simply take all the command post and take out the BSF at the same time.

BLACK SUN FORCES TACTICS:
The federation outnumber you greatly, but if just focus on killing them, you'll win. One of the things
you must do in order to win is to go on a gernade spree with plasma dets. Thourgh they have a small
damage region, however, they can take out large groups of marines in shot.

MAIN TACTICS:
There are several AAA turrets scatted around the valley that are to be used for defending the cps. Also,
the valley is heavly forested, which will make perfect cover. Theres also several crashed LaaTs to be
used for cover.

MAIN STORY:
I'm still working on the main story, but right now I've finalized the first tiny part:
NOTE: the story MAY change

1987 years has passed sinced the destruction of the death star II. For 1569 years, there was
peace in the universe, thanks to the hard work of the Galatic Federation, but now, a new
terrorist group has emurged. The United Non-Federation Systems has spread war across the
universe for 412 years, But the past five years have been great for the Galatic Federation.
The majority of the UNFS has been captured, and all that remains are the Trendona Forces, and
UNFS's leading group, the Black Sun Forces. The Federation had recently captured Black Sun's
main base of operations, which angered the BSF. Now with no base, the BS seeked revanged,
and they soon found it. The Galatic Federations main bio research planet, Dagobah, had just had
there defence fleet moved to the Trendona Force's headquarters. Now that Dagobah had no defence
fleet, the remaining BS forces had a chance at taking Dagobah...

this map takes place bofore the events of the first metroid game.

Sides and everything look great, especially for a first mod, the only beef I have with it is the over-saturated sky.
But other wise, good job :)

@raptor: no, I made other maps before, but I deleted them because they reminded me of yavin 4...
@Taivyx: I know...it sucks...thats the kamino sky, but I'm gona replace it with some thing else. For the final, I hope to add these things: rain, some foilage, a mist of some sort, and better lighting. I'll be making five Dagobah themed maps. One space, and four ground battles. Valleys the second in the story. After Dagobah, I'll start to make Rhan var themed maps.

@delta: No, she is not the hero. This map takes place before she become the hunter you know.

So what does this map, Star Wars, and Metroid Prime all have to do with each other?

Edit: Fluff beat me to it. :P

I'm not quite sure about the Galactic Federation though. Take a look: CLICK

Hmmmm...Yeah, not feeling it. If i recall, Black Sun is from Star Wars and the Federation is from Metroid. Maybe you could use space pirates? Or perhaps a more 'metroid-y' planet?
And i'm pretty sure that Vyse made a Samus model a while back.

Even better, Darth_Z13 released a working Samus model.

The sides and the map itself are pretty good, but the battle never gets past the first command post, and it's nearly impossible to avoid killing your own troops, but the blood-red water and crashed gunships are cool. Overall, 7/10.

Alright, the next map is uploaded. You can now play Dagobah: Marsh Land, and for those who are wondering what the connection between star wars, and metroid, here's the the story{NOTE: the story is still being made, and this is the first part of the story}:

:? Dang, beaten to it. Then again, I'm hardly on here anymore, so I figured much.

Judging from the pics, your maps looks pretty good, and although I don't really see the connection to Metroid Prime (and believe me, I would know, XD), I see you're still working on it. Are you sure on not having Samus as a hero though?

We have a pretty nice model of Samus that was made for JKII (or was it JKIII?) but converted by Darth_Z13, although I'll admit the arm cannon needs work since the original model didn't have one.

Also, I have a fantastic GF Trooper skin made by someone whose name escapes me at this time of writing (or typing, w/e, lol), but my xfire is phazontrooper if you want to talk with me about it. I swear, the moment I saw the topic name I blew up in an epic omgwtfandeleventysixlollerbikes explosion. Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to make a suggestion...
you know like how Maul and Jango are both in the CW era even though they were theoretically dead before the Clone Wars began (not counting Geonosis or Cyber-Maul)?

Why not just add Samus as a Hero for the Feds and Xizor or another awesome leader(repainted Grievous would look awesome as a Space pirate  ), not for cannons sake, but for funs sake!

Slightly off topic: Hey, did anyone realise that in Metroid Prime three the Feds had a Delta squad of its own? Silent Homage? HELL YEAH!

Even though this is before Corruption, it would be cool to see PED troopers.

Don't worry you guys who want to see samus in action, you'll be able to see them. I'm making maps in the order of my story I've made for MPBF. You just have to have patience.

Just downloaded the second map. The first map was good, although I didn't figure out the trick to winning it until I played it the 3rd or 4th time. BTW, red51, are you trying to connect the Star Wars and Metroid storylines?
