I've been modding for awhile now, and putting dc: in my .lua scripts has always worked, until today. Ive tested it with changes and no changes to the side, and it always crashes when i have the line ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\rep.lvl",...

anyone know what the problem might be?

Wouldn't be the DC crashing the game unless there was a typo.


1: Do you have rep.lvl all and the files in your side folder?
- 1A: Does the side even work?
- 1B: Is the side munging?

2: Tried a manual clean?

3: Make sure there's no typos in the LUA (or even the side files)

4: Post your log.

1. a/b the side is completely new from the Assets folder, so yes it works/munges. i can change the people in it, but not their weapons health, etc

2. no i haven't tried a clean yet, ill do that now and report back

3.I didnt edit the sides or the lua except to add dc:

I have the same problem. I removed the shell. (repshell, cisshell, allshell and impshell...)
I hope it works

lol im such a goose. yeah, turns out i forgot to put the Commons folder in my Sides folder. when i put it in, it worked fine.
