Hello everyone, yet a new noobie to customizing SWBF2...
I have customized a few different games a for a few years now(primarily ST Armada), however wanted to get started modding this one.
I have checked out the documentation that came with the BF2 modding tools and checked out the thread "Everything you need" and those have helped out alot, however there are still many things that are not covered. Just for example, how to move and rotate objects put into the game, or to move CPs that are already on the initial created map.
Seems a number of the buttons in the interface do not "appear" to do anything when pressed, which makes testing a feature that is not well documented that much harder to figure out.
I have used the search feature however just ended up coming up with more of a headache of unrelated threads than helpful ones.
So...
The big question is if there is a grand tutorial out there for Zero Editor that goes into depth of most the features (not covered in documentation/all you need thread) so that I won't bother people will excessive questions? (at least regarding Zero Editor. )

To move an object press and hold c, then you can use your mouse buttons (right, middle, and left) to move it. To move a path up hold shift and select the path, then simply move it up and down. To rotate hold down X, and to scale hold down Z. Hope that helps. I don't beleive there is an indepth guide, so I guess you can just ask questions as you need them.

There already is an in-depth tutorial for learning ZeroEditor called ZeroEditor_guide.doc located in your documentation.

That really doesnt give too many details though just basically what each mode in ZE is for so i think the best way to learn is to read the doc, make practice maps to try things out , and ask questions when you cant figure something out. Thats what i did when i started.

THIS page combines the doc mentioned with some other pages in the FAQ thread, one of which has an overview of the buttons used in ZE.

We must have different docs then, because mine told me what the modes were, what the buttons do for each mode, how to navigate around in ZE, helpful tips, some examples and other things...aside from these, what else would you need to know that you can't find in this forum already?
