Is this possible?? without I-net!!

So the story

I really like to play BFII against other Humans. My friend, too. He is playing on PS2 and i'm on Win 7 64 Bit Home Premium Notebook. I know if there are two notebooks Simply piut the Lan-Cable in both PC and it works (no router).

PC-------------PC

So i thought it may works with PS2 too.

PC-------------PS2

So in the Manual they say to link the PS2 with an PC you need an Router

PC--------Router---------Ps2

The Proble is my friend things the Router goes automaticaly in the I-Net and that he doesn't want with the PS2.

So is there a way to make this:

pc------------ps2

It's not possible for players to play against other players using different gaming platforms with SWBF2.

Ohhh, THAT'S what this was asking! Yeah, especially since the scripts for the console versions are rather different from the PC, e.g., the Xbox version has A.I. heroes and stuff whereas the PC and (I think) the PS2 do not.

The network code for each platform is completely different, unfortunately. Even though the PS2 and PC both use GameSpy they're incompatible.

SO i don't know what you mean with AI Heroes but if you say PC and PS2 have not there are no differenc :?

even not when he connect his PS2 wih I-net and me too??

Soit would look like this:

PC----I-net I-net-----Router----PS2

He was just giving an example, showing the scripts are different across platforms. You're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, it's not going to work.

What you can do instead is co-op on the PS2 with two controllers. TheDuke and I used to play a ton on the PS2, although TheDuke got tired of it after awhile. We played a ton.

Correct -- there is no way to play PC with PS2.
