I remember something about filefront was that they used to have mapping contests and I was wondering if there were to be another contest on gametoast would anyone be interested?

I'd be interested. I know Marth would be. I know a couple others would be.

I'd be pretty interested as well, as I found out about modding just after the last contest was finished.

The prize would probably be a new title under your name.

But...But...But this!

So when would be an entry deadline (posting started/not started/incomplete maps)? Also, when would he have a deadline for completed projects. I think its a great idea! We could have a large poll with all submissions, then we would have the top 6 as semi-finalists and top 3 for finalists as first/second/third. On another note, would each sumbmission be worked on only by one user or would we have teams? If it was a team effort, one team member should not be allowed to post a second project. I hope that makes sense. I think we should discuss deadlines and rules, then start the competitions and may the best map win!

@Loopy: I think it should be just one person per entry, because if it was 2+ people per entry, all the people on whichever team wins would all get the rank, "Mapping Contest 1st Place Winner" or whatever and anybody visiting this forum would see that and be like, "well who won dog? Theres like 5 people who won the contest yo! This f0rum is weird" and instantly leave

And also for the whole rank idea, you'd have to get an admin's permission to do that or else nobody would change your rank. I hope I don't sound like I'm junior moderating.

well if they entered as a team, they could be listed as team winner. ie Team PutAnAwesomeNameInHere first place winners. Im sure there will be someone who wants to enter as a team.
