and tell me, how is a protoss mothership REMOTELY like anything from EAW? or zealots, or siege tanks, or firebats, or ghosts w/ nukes?

actually, how is ANYTHING in starcraft like EAW? (besides marines, those are infantry with machine guns, duh, and battlecruisers COULD be compared to SD's if you went really deep)

I think the only thing that can be compared to EAW is the Homeworld series. And that's only because you build in fleets.

No RTS can be compared to Starcraft.

Well, Warcraft can be compared with Starcraft.... The're basicly the same game, only that Warcraft is boring and ugly as [word not allowed] and Starcraft is fun and just have old graphics.

Now you probably think I'm weird. "Comparing Starcraft and Warcraft"! "What the ?"%=??+#"

Well, I think it's a weird comparison too, but if you look closer at them they're basicly the same game, played in the same way and so on...

But Warcraft 3 sucks... Music that makes me fall asleep, the blockiest graphics I've ever seen and all in all very slow...

But Starcraft on the other hand... Mmmmm... Awesome music, pretty fast gameplay, cool setting. cool factions. The only bad thing about Starcraft is the graphics, but it's an old game so that's forgivable. Well, and the fact that I almost always get wiped out after ten minutes when I play against the computer is pretty bad, but the game is not to be blamed about that!

Starcraft 2 seems pretty cool, but somehow I got a little Warcraft 3 feeling when I watched some pics of it... But it seems like it can be a nice game though.

probably because the graphics are ZOMG superb to Starcraft.

it's in the 22 minute dev walkthrough... when the zealots go down the first ramp she's on top of a platform dancing in a holo...

you can see her better when the immortals show up.

Dec. 30 was what it said on GameTrailers... I think it will be earlier so in time for Christmas (if it isn't, I don't really care... my birthday is conveniently located on January 30. )

Sorry to double post BUT...

I just learned a CRAPLOAD of stuff off the starcraft 2 forums...

The Reapers will possibly have a flamethrower upgrade, as well as mines. The protoss have a carrier (called the tempest), and the terrans have Vikings (replaces Goliaths, can transform into an air unit.), Cobras (look like replacement vulture, can shoot on the move), Thors (think BIIGGG mech with REALLY BIG guns), Ghosts will have a snipe ability, Supply depots can fold down into the ground, and a bunch more stuff.

You know the Marines' shields? those are an upgrade that gives the Marine additional HP.

Wow I'm now more excited than ever.

Also, the protoss had a soul reaper unit, but it was cut.
