I've had this super old version of XSI for a very long time and now with my GF being a student I have a chance to buy a bundle of Autodesk software for only $249.99 USD and it includes...

3DS Max 2013

MSRP on all this is nearly $8K but it's not like I need any of this considering Mod Tool can do everything for Jedi Academy and my older version is good for Battlefront 2. Might be worth it for at least Mudbox.

I think MotionBuilder and Mudbox would be worth it at the least.

Don't think I'd use motion builder, softimage can do everything I need and I already know how to make complex rigs with it.

If only I could get Mudbox by itself for like $49 cause I'd do that but I don't think that is an option. Though I may have to at least get Photoshop CS6 since the super old version that came with my Intuos 3 doesn't run well on win7 x64, it crashed a ton when making the texture for the Slave 1.

You can probably get them for free assuming your girlfriend's got a student email address autodesk recognises...

Not sure about the terms and conditions but pretty sure its fine as long as you don't use any of it for commercial purposes.....I got 2011 xsi, 3dsmax and mudbox using my student email address.

I'll have to try it, site doesn't seem to be working right now though.

Well I got Mudbox, pretty excited about that, could get the newer softimage but not sure yet since I don't actually NEED it. Only thing it might be better for is normal map generation I'm sure is faster than my old 5.1.
