Google Chrome Not Loading Websites

Post by Fluffy_the_ic »

Yesterday, my computer got randomly attacked by a virus. I removed it with Malwarebytes' and rebooted my computer. Now, though, whenever I try to open a website with Google Chrome, I jsut get a "webpage is not available" page. I don't know what the problem is; it worked fine yesterday before I removed the virus. Does anyone know what the problem could be? And please, don't recommend Firefox, I hate it for a reason. Such... ugly and obtrusive... UI...

Are you on the Dev channel or the regular channel? And do you have any extensions?

And how are you posting this?

1: Dev channel, I have Stumbleupon, IE viewer, Aviary, and Cooliris, though I was gonna get rid of the last two, and then get rid of IE viewer when Silverlight begins working with Chrome. EDIT: I also have Favorite Doodle. I haven't noticed a change with what it does, though I might as well get rid of it.
2: Posting with Mozilla. Again: I hates it.

EDIT2: Odd, I can go to the extensions page, where I can download new extensions. Nothing else, though.

OK, well... if you are having problems with Chrome, I suggest reinstalling it. That may fix the problems.

Also, you may want to check out https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10674 if it still does not work

Hm. Thanks, I just got that chrome thing for Firefox. Although, I tried loading a page in Chrome and there was a button that said "More information on this error," so I clicked it and I got this error:

Code: Select all

Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.
Anyone know what that could mean?
EDIT: I solved it, something changed my proxy settings from Autodetect and it made chrome not work.
