So I downloaded TCW Commander Jet player model and I want to remove the pauldron, holsters and kama so I could just use it as a regular trooper. But my problem is that I don't know how to do it. I was wondering if anybody could help me out?

You need to use the free program Softimage Mod Tool with the ZETools plugin for that. Its all in the 3D modeling forum.
Or I suppose you could texture those parts of the model transparent. Info on that is in the Everything you need thread.

I'll try to edit it in ZETools! Is there a tutorial in the 3D Modelling forum?

Well there are some tutorials on general use of Softimage the FAQ in that section. But once you are a little familiar with Softimage, you should be able to do this:
import the msh with ZETools
select your model, go to polygon edit mode (top right of screen), change the additional filter to polygon Island (same place), change selection method to raycast (press F10), click the pauldron, holster, whatever (it will turn red), then press delete.
select dummyroot Export msh with ZETools
Softimage is a fully blown 3D modeling program, so don't expect to be immediately familiar with it.

I don't expect to :p But thank you MileHighGuy!
Edit:
So I removed them in ZETools/XSI but when I export the msh and test it ingame, the player model is all stretched out and about

Any idea how to fix it?
