Im going to make the Battle of Endor as a video on BF1, and theres this Endor: Space map I downloaded, and it isnt the most lined up with the movie, so if possible Im going to try to create Endor Space myself.
Questions---
1. Is there a way to like get to where theres a bunch of background Star Destroyers facing you? You know, the blockade that kept the Rebels from hyperspacing in the movie?
2. Is there a way to get the 2nd Death Star as a background image?
3. How would I get it to where theres the planet of Endor under the space ships fighting?
4. How do I make a space map on BF1 in general? My friend is the one who got me the BF1 Endor Space map and hes not on Xfire right now so...

you ask many questions
1. Is there a way to like get to where theres a bunch of background Star Destroyers facing you? You know, the blockade that kept the Rebels from hyperspacing in the movie?
yes, don't use the sky file to add them, just put props in the sky in ZE and face them toward the battle area
2. Is there a way to get the 2nd Death Star as a background image?
Yes, in the Endor files there is a death star somewhere called end_sky_dome_death. put that in your world1 file, then edit your sky file by adding:
DomeModel()
{
Geometry("end_sky_dome_death");
Offset(-20.0);
MovementScale(0.995);
3. How would I get it to where theres the planet of Endor under the space ships fighting?
This is tricky. The way space maps are done is by adding sapce textures and painting the ground to look like space. Put a flight height restriction so flyers cant fly low enough to hit the fake space wall (which is actually the ground) - it helps to put a deathzone thing along the ground so when people fall out into space they die.
To have Endor under you might be able to fake it with tricky painting (but doubtfull it would look good), but an easier way would be to put it off to the side (remember it is space there really shouldn't be an up or down, so having a huge planet off to the side should have the same effect. - play with the flyers maneuverability so it doesnt always level off and you can fly upside down and stuff.
4.
How do I make a space map on BF1 in general? My friend is the one who got me the BF1 Endor Space map and hes not on Xfire right now so...
Use your imagination - and refer to #3
Sample of a retired space map project - you will see the Death star2 in back groud

Why abandon such a project, it looked near to completion?

Sorry that was sort of off topic. I was referring to the retired space map project...

ya hey, it is for BF1
i found it nearly impossible to get the AI to fly into the rebel ship. using flight paths and fly height restriction they still keep crashing into the ship; or they fly in and don't want to land (even though i did all the planning) so they just fly in to the back wall of the space station.
It would be a sweet multi-player map, but not enough people play to ever make it worth trying out... or finishing the project. one day i may come back to it for my own personal enjoyment.
