But really, that model looks pretty good. I'd say maybe make the red/green texture vary a bit, but it may just be the close-up pic. Nice work!
lol

it looks pretty good.

Great model and texture, but the render could be better.

Very nice, though the cockpit texture (and maybe modelling as well) leaves a bit to be desired.

My goal for modeling has been completed.

Ever since I learned that Battlefront II could be modded, I always wanted to find a better E-11 model, as I thought that the one made by Pandemic was lacking. After endless hours of learning to mod, I learned that what I wanted to do could be achieved by something called a "custom model". I searched the internet for endless hours for a E-11 model, only to come up with nothing. I tried to learn how to use XSI endless amounts of times, but always gave up in the end. I found this program called Milkshape 3D, and figured it would be worth a try. After finding a neat tutorial on how to make a SPAS-12, I created my first gun, the DC-18p. Here I am, 3 months later, completing one of my goals.

Goal #2: Texture it. :runaway:

EDIT: Third Model in 2 days. I'm on a roll.
Questions, Comments, Flames, Jawas.

I think you've gotten to an awesome start there mang

Looking at a reference picture, the only real differences are that you are missing ironsights over the tip of the barrel and that the barrel doesn't really 'suck in'. Its really just a flat front with a hole in it.

I didn't model the "sucking in" part because that's just poly wastage for something that could be textured on, and I knew i'd be making this pretty high poly as well.

I tried to UV this to the stock texture, and not only did it turn out horrible, but my UV-ing sucks...

If anyone wants to give this a try, they will be given MAJOR credit in the release.

No I meant you made the barrel come in and then back out like a megaphone, but the real model is just flat with a hole in it.

if my knowledge of weapons is correct, that'd be the "Blastech E-11 b" variant with folding stock extended.

Have a look at the grounddummy model from Fred's site to get a good idea as to how things should be weighted. Also when you first go to set the envelope it shows a pop up box, can't remember what exactly it says but it is its something about bones to weight to it defaults to 2 change that to a 1. Butt (lol typo but going to leave it in) basically looking at it you have too much of his butt weighted to the legs as well the lower arms don't see quite right.

i tried putting 1 but the problem continious i will try separete model in parts and assign one to one only one question, for example i envelope sand trooper pauldron to bone_ribcage and bone_r_clavicle and look really better and only bone_ribcage, with ep3sniper gear and ep3heavytrooper gear go to bone_ribcage and also to bone_a_spine and bone_b_spine?
