Reticule?

When I start the game with the BF2_modtools.exe, there are red points in the reticule while reloading showing when I can shoot again, but when I start the normal game, they aren't there. Why are they missing?

I see videos where others have them. Maybe it's related to graphics cards or such, because I don't get them either.

Yeah, this is a really old issue I complained about right after the swbf2 beta. Some people have them, some don't (I don't). I don't know why; maybe exe version differences maybe not.
They give you a nice advantage.

I didn't have them on my old computer, but now I do have them on my new computer. I think there might actually be an .odf line that allows you to change whether or not the dots appear for certain weapons (DisplayRefire?). Granted, I could be wrong since I've never actually experimented with it. Also, it wouldn't really matter for people who can't see them.

I think they're on my normal game, 90% sure. I KNOW I've seen them before on my pc though.

Maybe someone can send me his .exe and I'll try out if the reticule works?

How about instead of possibly breaking a couple of laws we just post the last modification date of our .exes. For example, mine was last modified Friday, February 10, 2006, 9:48:12 AM.

The size would be useful as well. In fact please post the following and I'll look into it:
1) Yes if can see the reloading dots, or No if can't
2) Exact size of exe (in bytes or kb)
3) Last modification date
4) Optional: Game Type (CD v1.1, DVD v1.0, DVD international v1.1, etc...)

What weapons are we talking about here? Some have the reloading reticules, and some don't.

1 Yes
2 (9,187,328 bytes)
3 Friday, February 10, 2006, 9:48:12 AM
4 CD v1.0 patched to v1.1
On the current computer.
The previous computer (afaik) would have had the same stats exactly, since it was installed using the same discs and patch, except...
1 No

The modification date wont matter because installing and moving the file counts as modification.

No it doesn't. For example, I have a file (I think it's a driver) in my Windows folder that has a last modified date of 1998. This computer isn't nearly that old, so I would say that installing doesn't change them.

Nor does moving the file change the modification date.
