Yeah, just like everyone else said this is an awesome game. It's actually my favorite of all time. The story's great, the characterization and voice-acting are top-notch, and the whole blowing up-stuff part is great too. I especially like vibroblading a Geonosian or fat Trannie right up close. That having been said, the ending is incredibly depressing. I didn't eat or talk for two weeks after that.

Spoiler Alert:

In fact, it's very possible that Sev is in SWG... not for sure, but all the info seems to point that way.
I played the demo... it was way too short. :( But great!

Republic Commando in my opinion is a sweet game, there are some flaws though:
-Aiming Down the sights in the DC-17 is barely satisfying (it just shows u how inaccurate it is)
-The character design made the clones and droids seem weak
-SBDs are overpowered

I'd be happy if there was a sequel with a better engine.

When playing it for the first Time,i hated the GFX.Whether on GeForce 5 nor on GeForce 8 it looks much exhilarating. But after playing a while, i enjoyed both the Game and the GFX.I loved that the SBD`S are that much strong. Not so cheasy like in SWBF-2.
So YES, Republic Commando is FUN

Oh, now I know what you mean. Galaxies. :cpu:
Does anyone know if there'll be an RC2?
Hidden/Spoiler:
By the way, was Sev in Republic Commando: Order 66?

Hidden/Spoiler:
That's the main reason I think he didn't die. They actually explain Kashyyyk, which was at the time or Order 66.

Actually, Sev didn't die nor was he captured. In the game after blowing up the CIS ship, you will hear Sev being attacked. Stay in your turret and look slightly to the left (at Sev's turret room). You can still see him in the turret. He's a faker!

....Um, they don't put in droids for a scene that's not supposed to be seen only heard.. They would only put in droids if it was a cut-scene

OK this game is great... WHO VOTED NO?!?!?!?!
but seriously... it took me 2 months to get off geonosis... I hated that last level

and then when i got to the abandoned ship, i just pissed my pants and flipped the power button when i started to see static and hear the screams of that "im just waiting for help, that's right!" guy that i couldn't even see cause i idn't know where he was an....
=P

i didn't touch the game for another 4 months...
then i got to Kashyyyk and got owned by the Magna Guards, but i beat it eventually
Hidden/Spoiler:
i noticed the thing of him in his turret too...besides, they never said he died, you never hear gunfire and screams of pain... all you get out of the message is that he gets taken away, maybe to be interrogated? hopefully not executed? and yes the end devasted me too, but i can already think of ideas for seuqels(sp?)

like they get orders to take out the main generators on Kashyyyk while the clones and yoda engage the droids from the beach, then they have no new orders, and go to chase a droid ship that escaped, likely to have Sev on it... and order 66 is given while your flying through a nebula that the droids hid in, that boss, knowing the dangers, blindly headed into out of anger to get Sev back, or at least avenge him if he's dead... and it disrupts comms so when they come back out of the nebula (after boarding the enemy ship and saving Sev of course) they still work for the republic, and never go to the empire, yay!

ok im done with that, and no I haven't read the books so i have no idea how RC really goes after that

also sorry for long post...

I voted no, as I usually do when someone says something like:
lol @ the votes. clearly its a good game
But if I had to back up my vote with an answer as to why, the game wasn't long enough, the Acclamator level bored me to tears, and the multiplayer was absolutely terrible, its only saving was the shocky gun.

I liked it, yes, but I just felt it was lacking something. Voice acting was great.

I think the worst thing about this game compared to other commando games is that it doesent have a take cover option.
