Metro 2033

This has got to be the most terrifying game ever. For the first time ever, I am afraid to leave the friendly AI and go on my own. I mean, I've played games that were supposed to be scary before, and also tons of zombie games, but for the first time ever I find myself having to take a break while playing.

Anyone else played this game?

I've heard that the game is really good, and I have both books in Russian, although I haven't read them. How is the game scary? What's the "scare factor?"

I've played through the majority of it, and although it is eerie, I wouldn't say it's scary. If you've played something like Amnesia then you probably know what I mean.

But yeah, it's a fantastic game and I really should finish it sometime.

I've played this game and I must say it is fantastic, though throwing dynamite feels rather... Clunky?

The ony part that I felt was rather creepy on first impression was the level with the shadows of people who must live the end of their lives over and over again, though it does help that you have a guide who explains what it is going on.

Oh, (This is from one of the later levels)
Hidden/Spoiler:
The amoebas annoyed me to no end, had to waste ammo to destroy the pods they spawn from, then that GIANT biomass smashing the crane's control car? Yikes.

The difficulty is part of it. I was always low on ammo and the monsters just destroy you. They look pretty scary too. It wasn't as bad today, but last night I scared myself pretty good lol

Beat the game, the ending was really good.
