of course using 3d object converter with license ;) (using that software import msh and export to .ojb then import the obj into xsi)

Even with the OBJ import using either 3d object converter or Ulitimate Unwrap3d it might not always remap the actual textures but the UV mapping is intact which means you just have to reapply the texture at the object level if it uses just one texture or at the cluster level if it uses more than one. Either way it is really easy and quick to do.

ok good. but could you perhaps post a tut or something for this (either with 3d object converter or ultimate unwrap 3d) ? since there 's no such thing in any of the FAQs.

Assuming you have registered versions of these programs,
Open msh with 3DOC or U3D
Save As wavefront *obj
Import obj file in XSI
^Now do you really need a tutorial for something that simple?

As for re-applying textures which you'll inevitably need to do if you use the free MeshTool perhaps you should pay attention to what was posted in your previous topics because people didn't just reply to them for kicks, you should be taking given information and using it or building on it.
