How to convert vehicles into props? [Solved]

I want to take some custom vehicle assets and use them as background scenery. What do I change in the ODF for it to become a prop?

[Seems it is the same way as El_Fabricio told me about units]

Change ClassLabel to "prop" and under [Properties] remove just about anything that makes a vehicle work. The only [Property] a prop needs is it's GeometryName, and maybe some sound properties when you touch it,

ClassLabel of "prop" doesn't always work, especially if the vehicle originally made use of animations. See the first tutorial for details. The second tutorial will work for player models like Boba Fett. In addition to the FAQ thread, you could always use the Search to look for solutions to your inquiries.

For the 2nd tutorial: What if I want to use a custom unit as a prop? What animation should I use? Also should I type ''rep'' or something instead of gam?

"gam" in that example is the name of an ANIMS file (gam.anims) containing the animation you want to use for your player model prop. Most stock player models use the human.anims file, whereas a few other use their own ANIMS file, such as the Gamorrean, Wookiee, and the battle droids.

Yes,but I said: What if I want to use a custom unit as a prop?

I know about stock but how will I know for a custom unit? (animation name)

I know what you said, and I said it depends on the player model. It doesn't matter whether it is a stock or custom player model. What matters is if it use its own .anims/.zafbin/.zaabin files or the default "human" ones. If you were to use this custom player model of yours as a model for a regular unit instead of a prop, what AnimationName or SkeletonName would it use in its ODF?

Uh,problem. I wanted to use someone else's model to test if it works. So,I kinda can't answer that question.

Edit:I am attempting at making a ''Gun Shop'',so another question is: Can I ''prop-ify'' weapons? I tried with Class set to prop and I could place it but it was invincible.

You don't want invincible gun props? You can use the class label "destructablebuilding" and give it health if that's what you want.

So destructablebuilding will actually make them appear right?

You said it was invincible, not invisible. If you can't see them, and they're invisible, then I would try copying over gun related files (msh and textures, and the odf if you have the one labeled 'prop') to your world's main odf and msh folders. Then try placing them from there.
