When I start Windows Movie Maker v2.1 it tells me that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. Why? I use this program ALOT so if anybody has ANY ideas, suggestions or a site that might have the answer please let me know!

I know this has been "dead" for 2 weeks, but 2 weeks is not 6 weeks...

, but this has no replies, and this is under Technical Advice, so...
Have no real idea why it would do that...have you tried re-installing windows movie maker?
You can download
it from the Microsoft website or from
others

Specifically says no bumping unless it is useful, and you are trying to help, so it can be two years (though we would probably say "download the latest version", "upgrade your system", and other pretty obvious statements then, plus I'm sure the person doesn't have the prob anymore because of said reasons and won't be monitoring the thread anymore.) as long as a solution is found.

No, I am still having these problems but this is now even more urgent because I have a horror movie project due in three weeks for school. Thanks Adreniline but no, re-installing didn't help.
EDIT: Hey, I uninstalled Internet Explorer 7 and now it works YAY!

Ahhh. IE 7 seems to be causing a few probs with programs from what I heard and now I can add this to the list (sad IE broke a microsoft product.

) Same probs with Roxio Products. Were you running the RC or the release?

Release candidate. I wasn't going to wait for the full release. Maybe I should have.... but that doesn't really matter because I've switched to Firefox now.

Good choice, don't forget to get netcraft's anti-phishing toolbar
