Back to games, maybe?

MW2:

I was playing Invasion, and I was walking past the buried jeep heading for the gas station. On top of the building next to the gas station, the one with a perimeter of sandbags on it, I saw a guy sitting there. I was out of grenades to either launch or throw, so my plan was 1) throw a stun up there and 2) head around behind the gas station, climb the ladder up to the guy's crow's nest, and knife him. I only got as far as throwing the stun grenade up, but then the game ended. I watched the game winning kill-cam: it was MY view, and I saw my stun grenade get tossed, with the camera following it. The grenade flew up to the roof, bounced off one of the sandbags, detonated behind the guy, and killed him. I laughed.

Another time, my brother was playing on Derail, and he was about to walk across the snowfield / forest heading toward the military base when he saw a sniper near the power station. He went far to the left, all the way around the sniper. He was just next to the fence, peeking around the corner, seeing the sniper looking out past the water tower. He prepares a sticky grenade. As he aims it at the sniper's head, the head turns and looks at him (the idle animation of the character model). The sticky lands right on his face. My brother ran and the sticky detonated. We laughed our heads off.

Man, I just came back from an Intense Republic Commando match! I was a Trando, and, as usual, we were out manned by two. The RCs kept on trying to dig them selves in our spawn area (The map was Ghost Ship), and did so so many times. We we're pretty much on the defense. So, I decided, if they keep trying to do that, I told my mates that we should let them do so; Let the prey come to us! So, when ever they "toke" our base, we would form up and flank them to overwhelm and kill them. We had to be cautious of shotgunners hiding behind corners and AAers on the deck, and chainers defending the halls. We would break up into two groups of three and one drawer, who would distract them. We would flank the deck elevators, and we would throw a det in the elevator and let it go up to kill any shotgunners awaiting us. The other group would punch in through the hallways leading to the deck room, and I often toke the lead of that group, and went charging straight into a shower a lasers and poorly aimed dets. By the time we reached the deck, the elevator flanks would have breached the room and were usually dealing with two or one RCs left over. After that, we would go about our usual ways, until I, who was keeping watch of our spawns from invading RCs, would alert my team, and the whole process would start again. And to top it off, I had some RC songs playing, which made the match all the more intense! By the way, a det and smg are your best friends! :P

It's a small accomplishment, but I led a whole lot of teams to victory in Battlefield Heroes. And I mean led in the sense of "top of the scoreboard" and "go there do that" leading. I kinda wish the game hadn't screwed into itself. I also wish there was a server choice thing rather than matchmaking. It'd make hosting a tournament and starting a clan 100% easier. Sigh.

I also beat the main Super Mario Galaxy Campaign. Now I gotta unlock luigi.

In a WWII strategy game I saved the world from Axis oppression. While I was busy fortifying the Americas, the Russian and Chinese armies were swarmed by the Japanese and the British lost control of everything (India, Africa, etc.) but Britain and Australia to the German and Italian forces. Then the Japanese began moving around the Pacific while the German fleet destroyed British boats before they were able to move after they were built. The Japanese took a few islands, so I retaliated by seizing Wake and Guam. I sent out several task forces of u-boats to destroy any Japanese transports while the main fleet danced with the Japanese fleet. By this point I had taken control of the British forces from the AI named EZ Fodder and began massing an army in Australia for retaking Africa. I then sent my fleet to take control of all Pacific islands beside the heavily fortified Japan. After taking Oceana, I engaged the Japanese fleet and emerged victorious. Meanwhile, in the Atlantic the German fleet destroyed my Atlantic fleet in an aggressive strike. I left patrols around Japan to destroy any enemy ships that were constructed and sent my Pacific fleet to destroy the German fleet. At this time I had sent an invasion force to South Africa, which was crushed by hordes of German troops, so I began building transports and carriers to transport every last unit from Allied territory to Africa. I battled the German fleet in the Mediterranean and emerged victorious, only having lost a few bomber and fighter squadrons, and having most of my battleships and cruisers damaged (thankfully they repair at the end of your turn). I amassed every single American and British unit on the coasts of South Africa, but the Germans had dug in with triple my units, and had set up tanks and artillery batteries. On top of that several hundred Japanese squadrons were on their way to reinforce. I left the British military there and began to shift my focus on bombing Japan. The Japanese had around 200 squads in all there, but I decided with the barrage from my 100 destroyers and 50 battleships and the bombing from my 32 heavy-long ranged bombers would compensate. I was wrong. The Japanese destroyed my ground forces and all by bombers. I killed all Japanese infantry and destroyed half of their artillery, but I was upset. I sent my British forces to seize Vietnam and the rest of Southern Asia while I built 100 bomber squadrons and a couple hundred of of everything else. The Axis sent in most of their Asian based military to the British, so I sent them to the awaiting transports. This is when I realized my advantage. I had kept the Japanese from producing any more ships and for some reason the Germans weren't making any either. I began landing trooper where I wanted the Axis to go and taking those troops away as soon as they arrived. After shifting all the enemies to East Asia and South Africa I struck. I swarmed over Europe and Japan with massive forces, then gather up in Stalingrad for the major battle. I had superior air support and joint forces, while the Germans and Japanese just moved within attacking distance spread out. One by one I destroyed the enemy armies, until only small Japanese patrols were left in Asia. I quickly bombed them out and captured all the territories for the win. Now you know the past four days of my life.

Just came out of RepShooter's Battle Arena 2's Wave Mode! I made it to wave 35! A couple of people joined me, but were quickly killed off. Although I'll admit, I had some FC codes active :P , it was still very fun and Hard! By the way, what's the last wave like? Pure Madness?

The waves aren't any different past a certain level. Don't recall which, but pull together a couple of consistent players and you'll make it there no problem.

Yeah, I believe me, Frag, Rep, AQT, and Trainmaster(?) made it to the last level once.

I was playing 'All Ghillied Up' in CoD4 for like the 10th time and decided to shoot the wild dog near the end. BIG MISTAKE. Like 20 other dogs came out of the woods and I'm like "OH NOEZ, run for it MacMillan!!!"

I was playing the Just Cause 2 demo the other day when I got a bright idea.
I parachuted to a crane and bought a motorcycle from the Black Market and had it dropped on the crane. I blew up the crane using a combination of grenades and remote detonated explosives, and as the crane came crashing down, I got onto my motorcycle and drove it off of the exploding crane :D

Why?
Just Cause

So, I decided to play Empire at War again, using the Phoenix Rising mod (v.1.1.1). I'd been playing a bit before, and now I'm at week 150 where things are finally moving along. Around week 95 or so, I'd managed to get revenge against the pirates on Metellos for killing Mara Jade. I didn't realize death was permanent in the mod, I lost track of her Z-95, and suddenly found she was too far gone to save. I also lost much of my fleet in that battle, and had to run back to Coruscant to lick my wounds. The garrison there had nothing less than a pair of VSD-I's, Acclamator I's, Bulk Cruisers (I'm pretty sure at least three of these were interdictors), Escort Carriers, and more fighters/bombers than I wanted to shake a stick at. Well, I pulled a MacArthur and returned with 4 Venator I's, 4 Dreadnaught Mk. I's, and 8 Acclamator IV's, plus a handful of smaller support ships, which wiped out their fleet handily. Pirate scum.. Anyway, that planet is currently home to my multiple level 5 space stations, for use in producing my largest warships. :D I have completed one Praetor I, which is now part of the fleet I used to conquer the planet, and plan on eventually getting the Executor class researched. Of course, to further my vengeful rampage, I shall be making good use of that Praetor against the other pirates in the sector. :P

Also, I ran into a bit of a disappointment recently. I'd been using Tarkin and his fleet to expand from Despayre, and managed to upgrade him after taking Fest. Well, I'd noticed he got his own ship with the upgrade, the Vehemence. I was so excited to try him out in battle, I threw his fleet at Axxila thinking I had an ISD1 at minimum, if not something like a Praetor. So, I get to Axxila, which did have the ISD1, two of them even, plus a Tector, and found out something had gone terribly wrong. As it turns out, the Vehemence, the only ship in the fleet I thought I had greater than a Dreadnaught Mk.1, is a Nebulon-B frigate! :faint: Needless to say I was not only disappointed, I was worried for my carefully built fleet. Luckily, I'd managed the fleet so well I was able to take out the 3 larger ships one by one, and the rest was almost a cake walk. I need to be more careful. XD

Just beat Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Even though I couldn't stand the actor that did Spidey's voice, this game got really good once I got into it. I'll definitely play through it again and do the dark side ending.

I've been replaying LoZ: Ocarina of Time lately, and this time around I'm going to try and beat it 100%. I forgot how good it was after a few months of not playing it. It truly is the best game I have ever played.

The only thing I can't stand about that game is the fact I can't reface the bosses, unlike Majora... But still, its a fantastic game.

Yeah, Ocarina of Time is a great game. It was the first Zelda game I ever played, and I was instantly hooked. I never finished Majora's Mask, though - I just felt too pressured by the three-day time limit to do things before I had to start over. It is a really cool game though, so maybe I'll dust it off and take another crack at it over the summer. :)

So I've been getting into the 8-bit Megaman series lately after beating Easy Mode on Megaman 10, and I have to say, I really like this series. Just finished the original today and I moving onto the others soon, probably during the summer. I think they're really the only game series left that actually make you think about how you're going to complete the level whilst playing it, with all their spikes, enemies, and spikes.

I only beat Majora's Mask about a year or two ago. The main problem witht he game is that it has the most frustrating dungeons in the series. The Anju and Kafei quest also drove me insane, too, to put it mildly.

I actually found the dungeons fun and challenging, although it seems that I hate all of the Zelda water dungeons. Those were the trickiest ones. That side quest you mentioned, though, was a tad bit to long and stressful...
